From the very beginning, I have been able to select an object and move it to the map, unchanged. It looked just like the object I selected. But now for no appearant reason, when I move the object to the map, it is an annoying RED that throws off my ability to tell which way the objects are facing. Did I hit a button or something? How do I disable it so I can see the objects as the way they really look?
There is a symbol that looks a little like a tick tat toe game. The game that you use Xs and Os to connect into a straight horrizonal or vertical lines to get a win.
It's called 'show ai passabitily'. Click on that symbol.
I don't think I explained myself very well. When I left click an object that I want to paste onto the map, it turns a bright red when I move it to the map. This just started recently, despite using the editor for about 2 months. Before, the object that I was pasting looked perfectly normal and I could clearly see which direction an object facing. I thought that maybe I had accidently hit a button combination that activated the red highlight on objects being pasted. Now, I can't figure out how to turn it off. It's not one of the grid/AI-Geometry/Passability buttons.
Did you install HoF? I noticed the red also after installing HoF. Maybe it?s an ?improvement? in the new and improved map editor.
I agree, it makes it impossible to see just where the hell the entrance of an building is.
H.W. Edit: I can?t remember for sure, but I think it was always read though. Just that before there was a clear green square where the entrance was. Now that green square is gone and it leaves you to guess which way the building is facing.

If an object is selected, it shows up as red. You can un-select it by pressing the ESC key, or by clicking on any tab in the tool box and then clicking the Object tab again. Of course, to change the rotation if don't like what you see, you have to select it again are rotate it. I sort of see where the green entrance is and count the number of rotate clicks to get it where I want. BTW, AI Impassibility button highlights impassible areas with red, but that's not the red that's troubling you.
