I have no idea what these icons are for. I stuck them on a lake for decoration and when I ran the passability test, there are green boxes in the center of their travel pattern.
Second, is there a stage where terrain becomes impassible when altering elevations? I have numerous areas that are supposed to be cliffs and canyons and I have gone back and masked their verticle surfaces to prevent shortcuts. Is masking necessary or is there a point where steep gradients (such as one square is stretched to 5 times its normal length) automatically become impassible. It doesn't show up on the passability test.

Swans of scarlett lake is a object that gives your heroes +2 luck and loose the rest of their movement points for the turn.
You need to mask your cliffs and mountains that you make if you don't want the heroes going over them. Also you may want to mask areas you don't want randon monster of the month going. For example; mask behind the trees in front of the mountains.
Oh! Thanks for the reminder about random monster spawning. I totally forgot about that aspect. I will have to go back into the map and mask in the blank areas with no hero access.
