Well, where are they to be found?
If you have made a map and posted it somewhere, why don?t you tell us where so that we can find it without having to patrol all the sites that hosts maps in the hope to find anew map.

So, where did you post your maps? Share?
Pretty please?

Woeps, you are right. Hammer I apologize. I thought remembered seeing a post like that and in fact I looked; must have overlooked the topic since I didn?t see it. Big Grin

Guess I?m a just a little surprised. On the Heroes forum we were flooded with all these topics with questions about the editor, how to do this, why that part of the map wasn?t working... And how 6 gazillion people wanted a separate Map forum. Veryhappy So they make a separate forum, and all of a sudden... nothing. No maps, but also even the questions stop coming. It?s kinda like ?oh, we have a separate forum now, cool, that means we don?t have to ask the questions again.?

Anyway, I guess I?m also surprised that people don?t post the link to their maps in this forum. I mean, if I just spent hours/days/weeks making a map, I sure would post a link here saying that I just finished this map and there is where you can DL it. You know, let people know where my work can be found. Weird. Confused

Oh well, never mind me. Moving right along. Shady

i am also surpised at the small amount of activity in this forum.
i myself have mostly given up and have moved on to the celestial heavens map forum where i have gotten some really good scripting help.
but at celestial heavens, its relatively quiet as well, maybe a couple new posts(not topics) a day in the map forum.

my scripting question post i put in this forum i ended up deleting since it had zero responses.

and you can see that my post i made for people to post their maps didnt get alot of response either.

im not sure why, cuz there are definetly alot of maps being made now. and if you go to maps4heroes.com, youll see that maps have been downloaded in the three thousands, so i can only assume alot of people are playing them too.

I haven't been able to work on my maps. My tv is still broke. And by the time it gets fixed dark messiah will be out. Once nvn2 comes out I'll be busy playing that.

I have always made my own maps in all of the heroes games. I'm not a strategy player. The only reason the heroes games sell to me is because of the might and magic games. Any map I make especially if it's single player the people on this board could play and win with their eyes closed.

There is one map I'm working on when the tv's not full of green lines. It's a multiplayer map and I want it online when I finish it just so I can prove I can make better visual maps than aMazed was. When you're afraid to put too much text in your map to explain the landscape because you might be disqualified from a contest, it's better to put the text in. I wanted Amazed to look like the winchester mystery house because you're suposed to be in a broken mind. The thing that embrasses me about that map is the easy win for the player.

The whole forum has gone completely dead except for maybe 3-4 replies or topics per day since the editor came out.

I am unsure whether this is because people are now bz playing heroes 5. Whether it is because people have given up on heroes 5 because they hated the editor or what. It's not like there's been an overwhelming amt of maps made. It seems to me like people finally gave up on it. Could be wrong.

Fury of the Elements, great map!

Myythryyn, I just played it and had a ton of fun. The terrain layout is original, confusing, the story and terrain both meticulously detailed and consistent, and the harassment from numerous hostiles was terrifying (for me, I'm not used to playing Tree-Huggers).
I made a huge mistake, anticipating that a stack would join an irreplaceable hero with no army, but there is no in-game justification for that assumption, I was just lazy.
The final battle was not as difficult as I had feared/hoped, but I had barely survived a couple of bloodbaths by then, so there was very little boredom.
Beautiful map.

Do one for Necromancers, OK? We need artistic love too (just don't tell anyone).
