Greetings all,

I've bin playing SH3 for a long time now and tried out many mods created by this great community.

I wish to start tweaking some things of my own.
The AI detection range is one of those things, I feel that could use some changes.
I find it very irratating that my crew spots ships I can't see yet. Specially during the night, where I don't seem to be able to see a single ship, unless i'm right on top of them.

Could any one point in to the right direction towards what files I need to be looking for and tweak to get to my goal.

I think you need the sensors.cfg file in the SH3\data\cfg\ folder.

Cool thx...

Few more question tho...
These values do the apply to both my crew and the enemy?

And does raising the values increase or decrease how the difficulty on spotting ships?

Sorry, can't answer these questions, but I noticed in the sim.cfg file there are some AI parameters, perhaps worth checking out?

go get Timetravellers Min-Tweeker, and get his Tweek files, it's a hacker program he made, it's really cool. pull up AIsensors, and in it is a huge range of enemy sensors to modify. Hyderphones, sight, sonor. HEHE, all my enemies are blind in all catogories, I gave them all a range of twenty meters to see!

I have downloaded Timetravellars mini tweak program and his tweak files. I have also found the "AI sensors" file and true enough, there is a lot of files you can screw with. But what does all these values stand for. Like this one in AI Radar MinRange= 3,637631E-41. Is this a hex value or what. Those of us who would like to tweak some files, do we have to know all about hex to operate this program.

If you're getting a "strange" value like that it's an indication that the tweakfile for that file is outdated, it should be a round value, like 8000 or something similar, which mods are you using that can affect the sensor file?
