Question will the various mods which are in use for SH3, work on the anticipated release of Silent Hunter 4. And yes I have pre-order the new release pack.

It is legitimate to think that no current SH3 mods will work on SH4. Being an 'upgraded' version of SH3 with many additional features, my guess is that files and game structure will have little or even no similarities with SH3.

As for external tools like SH3 Commander, JSGME and SH3Gen, they will require a new release to be compatible. I understood that the programmer behind SH3 Commander did not intend to work on a new release...

But why ask about mods as not much is known about SH4 gameplay right now?

I am sorry to disarpoint you guys, but SH4 files are a completely different type than SH3. I have just got my copy of SH¤, MAJOR DISERPOINTMENT" The developers haven´t learnt anything from the different mod crews. There is a major mod work ahead before this version reached SH3 to the knees.
