But what does that mean? How does that negate the point that I made earlier? |

You forgot about Shauni. |
|||
|
The game never really made it clear what exactly "Shauni" is. Supposedly it's the power that Jade possessed. If it's just a power, then it's not good or evil. If it's some sort of being with a conscious, then it would be either good or evil. "Good" and "evil" are subjective anyways. What seems good to one person may seem evil to another. If something is "beyond" those two ideas, then what does that mean? |

Guys! You got this all wrong! Beyond Good & Evil means that the events of the game (or storyline) is so weird and out of the ordaniry that you can't migure it with Good or Evil
You think you took me captive, in fact you are my savior |

Shauni was the source of power for the Domz Priest. The ending, and more specifically what happened to Pey'j, shows that this power is still linked to the Domz and using it has its consequences. |

I agree Im not buying it if they change the name for marketing purposes. Now that people recognize the name its more beninfical to use the existing namesake rather than create a new unproven title. I think adding a subtitle wouldnt hurt. I dont think the title had anything to with the failure of the last game. Seriously the reason it took me so long to buy the 1st game was because there wasnt any promotion or marketing for it and I wasnt sure what kind of game it was. |

|
The title may not hurt the first time round because it was a new franchise, obviously it's completely different when they name the next game in a highly unsuccessful series 'Beyond Good and Evil 2'.
Anybody saying that they won't buy the game if they change the title is barmy. |

As long as the name Beyond Good & Evil is in the title I'll be happy.
Pey'j' Quest The Domz Strike Back Return to Hyllis Return To Selena Rejoin The Rebellion Jade's Journey (Can't think of anything else) And mystique1987, No offence but, your unwilling to buy the game if the graphics remain the same as in the trailer. Now your saying that if they change the name for marketing purposes you're unwilling to buy the game either. Surely the content of the game is what's important. Don't you want to know what happened AFTER the events of Hyllis - did the Iris Network disband? Did the Domz reqroup? What became of the Alpha Sections.? What happened to the children in the lighthouse? Sure you must be eager to find out 'what happened next'? I mean you might as well look elsewhere, because if you're already this pessimistic before anything else has been announced, how will you react when Ubisoft do announce something that the majority of fans will probably like (That is my feeling). I frankly don't see the logic in your thinking. Try to remain positive please even if it's hard. ----- Beyond Good & Evil - Join The Rebellion Sig Courtesy Of dom1999BG&E Website Hillyan News BG&E Darkroom BG&E Demo BG&E Forums It's hard to answer the question 'What's wrong?' when nothings right. |

I'm pretty sure if they're continuing the storyline, that a lot of different and new things will be in the game, so the title could be anything. Hope to see another teaser vid ASAP |

@bitebug: Beyond Good & Evil: Rejoin the Rebellion

hmm... I'd give the game a single word title, and then stick "Beyond Good & Evil" after that. That would be better for marketing. SomeTitle: Beyond Good & Evil I won't even bother to try and think of a word right now though, because it all depends on what the game will be about, which we don't know. |

I don't agree with a single thing that you've said. Of course your entitled to your own opinion, but I would put a lot of money on a bet that says no one in this forum would agree with all of your points. First of all, I thought Beyond Good & Evil was a perfect title for the game. I looked at it as the characters went beyond the typical good and evil characters. They were either really good, or really evil. That's just my view of it. But whether or not you thought the title fit doesn't really matter. Like it or not, one of our most beloved games of all time was called Beyond Good & Evil. To change the title now after all these years of us waiting, and begging for a sequel would just be a slap in the face. And I can't see anybody who worked on the game wanting to see that happen. Second of all, I understand when it comes down to it, game developers want their game to sell a lot. They want to make money. But I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that the mass market can kiss my butt. The mass market sucks. And recently it seems that the only games that are selling well are crappy games like pet simulators or brain training games. There's nothing wrong with casual games, but it's getting ridiculous. They're ruining video games. And this is a whole other issue, so I won't get into it. But I doubt many people who played the first BG&E want it to be "dumbed" down or made more "accessible" to the mass market. Because, again, that would be a huge slap in the face to all of BG&E's biggest fans, who basically got the word out about this awesome game. Sure, I want it to sell well, but I want it to be an awesome game even more. And finally, how could you possibly say that you aren't looking for a continuation? A great new experience, sure, we all want that. But I can't see it being a great new experience while ignoring the original story. There are so many questions left to be answered. The first one was a cliff hanger that screamed sequel. They totally set it up. And for the third time, it would be yet another HUGE slap in the face if they ignored all of that. With all due respect, your points SUCK. I really can't see how you call yourself a devoted fan with ideas like that. I have to say, I really hope that none of them turn out. ____________________________ D.B.U.T.T. Don't Break Up The Team |

Not sure what they would mean by "casual" and "hardcore". Love the gameplay of BG&E. A solid mix of everything(some stealth, some shooting, some racing, etc.), all done well, all wrapped into a compelling storyline; something completely rare in videogames. |
