Does that mean that if the fans want a BG&E website, they are just gonna have to make one themselves because Ubisoft probably won't give a damn?

Maybe we should contact Djnogg or Ubirazz about this? The website doesn't have much use at this point other than a symbolic value, but I'd be very dissapointed in Ubisoft if they just let it dissapear.

And now for the bad news of the day.

Man, this sort of snuck up on us, didn't it? I remember us discussing this... what, a year and a half ago here. We thought nothing of it then, other than the fact that BGE 2 and 3 websites were registered. Will the forum space be lost as well, or will it be the mal-nutritioned BGE home site? If the forums are to be lost, I sincerely greive our loss, and we'll need to start talking a recovery plan.

I guess BGE sites are going to be left to the fans now...

Maybe I should just include an addition to the Rayman part of my site to mention the other games by Ancel and related teams to the Rayman games. (BGE, Tonic Trouble, King Kong...)

If the site really disappears, then there's still the fans who could set up a website.

It would be a shame if the BG&E website were simply let go.

Maybe they'll let the domain go, but keep the website. Ubi could use a URL like www.ubi.com/beyondgoodevil or beyondgoodevil.ubi.com or whatever. I think that it would have cost some money at least to make the website. It would be a shame to just "delete" it.

People need to have a website to go to when they're interested in a game.

I agree that if the domain expires, the fans must buy them. I'm willing to pay a part of it. The URL could lead to the official/Revolution forums or a new B&G&E2 site.

The BG&E domain would be fairly simple to purchase for a year (or 5); I'm sure many people would be willing to do it, and it is so cheap to do these days the only problem is making sure that you are next in line to get the domain in case multiple people have signed up to buy it when it goes public again.

Well, if nobody else does, I'd grab the domain and ask for the website files themselves. Then I could just rehost (I do the soundtrack at www.stormeffect.com too, so it would not go down, ever) the files and it would be an identical copy of the previous version. To be safe I would prefer if the site was controlled by someone like bitebug2003 (a mod) who would not let it be vandalized or altered too much.

DarkResolve, I really like that idea. If someone from the community has control of the site, it could very well do more than Ubi ever did for it. Bitebug would make a great website admin, if and only if he had the time to periodically check up on it.

Well, the BG&E Revolution is going to make the Revolution website a very serious matter. If the domain name of the original site can be bought, it would be a good option for us.
