anyway. back on topic... so, over the last couple of weeks, the Music Videos have been hanging dry a little. i've had tons of stuff to think about and to deal with and i'm trying to focus more on it as soon as i have my coursework out the way. Getting a team together is the thing i really need people to do. the more people actually help with this project, the better it will turn out. i actually don't understand why y'all don't want to help... it's something that you could get involved in and really help spur the sequel... i fact, now i think about it, when people actually refuse to become a part of it, it's going to give ubi even less reason to make a sequel... you may as well just lie to me and at least make it look like you have a passion for the game!

anywho, new stuff can be found on the BGEMV in a couple of days once i have my coursework out the way.

Where will you be posting this music video when it is completed?

I can help you out. I'm nothing with game files, but I've already gotten a lot of in-game footage using Fraps, because your idea spurred me on to do my own music video just using game footage like fighting, cut scenes, running, etc.

i'm not too interested in game footage mind you, only the odd isolated cutscene as maybe an into to the vids... the stuff i can't recreate easily in Blender. as i've mentioned a couple of time before, Blender is just so easy to use, i think i could probably do everything in it. it's just so powerful... anyway.

Where will i be posting the video? well, i had thought about this and i don't have a clue at current. i've thought about posting them on my private web hosting site and giving people access to the files by logging in, but that's far too complicated. still, i have a long time before i have to worry about that. if all else fails, i have some people who i can promt to host my stuff. not that i'm saying that it's not an issue, but i'll tackle this problem when i get to it.

*begins to rant again*...you know, i still don't understand how so few people could be interested in this... so many people want to do stuff for BG&E, and becom involved in fan projects... now they actually get the chance, they don't give a flying rats ***! [/rant]

ah, the old "Build it and they will come" (or whatever it's called) technique...

well, first of all, i have to say that that is truely fantastic. interesting to see how smooth it was to. My BG&E is very jerky, expecially around the Pay'j hoverboots bit in the mines. there are a couple of things i could be critical on (naturally, i'm me.. nothing can ever be perfect ) but i won't bother to for three reasons:

1. the video is already made, so it would be pointless.
2. They are too petit and insignificant to matter, or for it to be worth me pointing out.
3. i don't really want to make it seem as if i'm degrading someone elses stuff to promote my own.

once more, very good. good timing on a lot of the actions too. Personally i would have chosen a different song, but that's for me to decide about my vids, ain't it? Keep 'em coming!!

hmm... i just had a thought. Shanui, would you like to join the Music Video forums and post your progress and links there? i mean, that is the whole point of the forum; not jsut for the stuff i'm doing. it's like, a hub for the projecs. it would give another reason for people to join up and post stuff as well... Just the odd bi-weekly post about what videos your doing, whether you've got the projects on hold or whenyou think they will be done...

Critiscism is good for me, Ugly Phil. I learn how to make videos better, and I'm still pretty novice-y at Windows Movie Maker. It's like it cuts off in some parts (like with the end of the Matrix Rooftop Chase how subtitle appear after Double H and after jade grabs her Dai-Jo in like the second or third sequence of scenes it cuts to combat in the Final Boss level for like a split second.) Those types of things I need to work on.

Are they from your game, or is there somewhere you can download the clips... although I guess it would be different, since it wouldn't be like making an amv from an anime/tv show. Or would it? I downloaded Fraps (http://www.fraps.com), which lets you take pictures/video footage of games.
