You need a sequel because you have no good end of the game, isn't it? BGE has a open end. (I haven't this game, but I think so.) Nobody knows whats happen with Jade, what's going on. And in this uncertainty can nobody live.
Well, Ancel is not able to write any good end. His games are horror trips.

a sequel might be difficult, story wise, but a prequel, about how that pig tries to rescue jade, and at the end succeeds in fleeing to hylliss. where of course after 20 years beyond good&evil starts

How about a sequel, where Pey'j tells about 20 years ago. Then you get a flashback, and suddenly you are in control of Pey'j 20 years ago!!! That way you get to know what happened before BG&E, and play with Pey'j at the same time. The flashback lasts an hour or so and there you are back in the present day, back in control of Jade. So a prequel isn't necessary, just put a playable flashback in the sequel!

I think that a prequel is a great idea, they would definitely have to work in a little Jade though, the flashbacks are a good idea...

Please give us a sequel! Michel Ancel and Ubisoft have made one of the greatest games I've ever played. There are so many questions that need to be answered about the story. I know sales have been lackluster, and I believe much of that is due to the huge increase in the number of gamers that most of us "real" gamers who grew up playing the original Nintendo and Sega would consider "part-time" gamers. However, to us true gamers Beyone Good & Evil is a masterpiece with an important and emotional story that needs to be told to its completion.

Was this not intended for a trillogy? So, you already have the story. Now just make the game. You have buyers, right here. 10 pages of them at least. And these are the people that spoke out. What of the people that have not spoken? What of the people that played this on Xbox or PS2? The next installment is greatly anticipated and I personlly hope that the Movie will inspire you guys to kick it in high gear as there IS money to be made. You just have to see it.
