I know since BG&E2 was announced very few BG&E fans are looking at other games but Im actually quite interested in the Insecticide game coming out for the pc(following the DS release).

It looks a bit too quircky even for me but I think its still unique like Beyond Good and Evil because it has you playing as a detective and features some investigative gameplay, similair to how Beyond Good and Evil lets you play as a reporter and features photo taking gameplay. NOt that Im saying Its a BG&E clone but its worth buying for some of the same reasons.

Also it looks pretty good, even though its not cutting edge the levels and art look quite nice. And the it looks a bit quircky but as adevnture/platformer games go its not terrible.

However apparently its really short and its being released as episodic downloads on the PC which means it might be very linear.

Unfortunately its only coming to the PC and DS but from what Ive seen I dont think this game will have very high system requirements so I might get it. Another problem however is that at the moment Ive only heard about them making the PC version availibe as downloadable episodes but Im hoping a Cd also get released.

If anyone hears anything about Insecticide or its PC release or gets to play it Id like to know what you think because Im not sure I want to buy this.

I, too think this could be an interesting game .
You dont hear much about it ... but I'll buy it anyway ,I had ordered it from amazon but its delayed to september (at least in germany).
I like those kind of games like psychonaut,rayman 3,bge ....

SOunds like you like the inventive games Are you ordering the DS version or PC version?

i read a few reviews on the DS version... they said it was pretty weak... so i doubt i'll be pickin up the game. as for the pc, i don't use one... so no need in that. although, on another note, i convinced my mom to pick up a few games to play on her pc laptop (bg&e, pop:sot, the longest journey, dreamfall, and tomb raider anniversary). she just started playin bg&e today. she's a bit confused at parts (not use to adventure games and the camera rotation on the computer), but she said it was enjoyable.

Actually yeah I heard from reviews the DS version was weak but Im hoping they will flesh out and enhance the pc one enough to make it worth buying and maybe make it more than 8 levels long.

I havent really been a pc gamer either but I think this game will have low system requirements which is why Im willing to buy it.

Those were some good game choices. I hope she enjoys BG&E and I also have POP and Tomb Raider Anniversary. I think its was a good choice to play BG&E before those games though they are still fun.
