Ive just got to the slaughter house and hes no where to be seen. Is it possibly i just left him somewhere and if i go back i'd pick him up, or will i have to start again?

Try going back. If that doesnt work, just reload your last save.

theres a good chance he's gotten stuck in the hovercraft. go out and go somewhere else and i'm sure he'll turn up. it's one of those silly little bugs that you can't forsee in the programming script; it just happens really. a little annomaly. *shrug*

Just follow Thunderpants1 and Uglyphil's advice, and pray that you'll find him. If you can't find him or you only keep one save. I'm afraid you'll have to start over. In that case, take this advice: always keep at least two savegames, you'll never know when a bug decides to show its ugly face! There are more Double H disappearing bugs found in the game than just the slaughterhouse one, stay alert!

Yeah, this game if VERY buggy in that sense. I've had at least 5 situations where my companion got lost or the game just got in a state and got stuck. I'd have to reload the last save and repeat everything. If I wasn't having so much fun with the game, I'd probably give up on the game because of the bugs. Funny one was on the last level, when I landed the Baluga, Jade came out of the ship, but nobody else came out. So I couldn't trip the 3 switches since I was alone. Had to kill myself in order to get it to reload the last savepoint.

It's simple. You went somewhere with out him, and now he's paying you back but going away and not coming back. Just reload from your last save game thingy and you'll be fine.

I never noticed that many bugs... hmmmm...
Anyway, as I remember, there is a place in the slaughter house where a gate is blocking your path, and Jade must squeeze through without Double H. After that, she goes an unusually long distance without him before opening the gate. And once that gate is open, you must run with all your speed, hop into the hovercraft and moter through within a set amount of time before the gate closes again. I remember missing my chance several times waiting for the H-man to climb into the craft. Is it possible that you sped off without him and left him back, trapped by the gate? If that's the case, then you should be able to go back, crawl through the gating on one side of said gate, and find him again. Well, sometimes Double H just disappears and he will be untraceable. It's very likely that a glitch made him fall into a cliff or in the water(slaughter house). Keeping several save games as back-up is the best thing you could do. |

Well, (just to add to the list of bugs :P) last time I played it before I lent it to my friend, I was in the vorax lair I think, and after I came back from going somewhere without Double H, I couldn't find him anywhere, and I was thinking "Oh no, not another glitch". But when I looked down from a ledge, there he was, stuck waaaaay down in a little cove thingy, still running!
I fell off my chair then.    |

Where are all these bugs coming from? The only one I ever noticed while playing is when my hovercraft got stuck against a wall in the slaughterhouse, and I could get out of that one by jumping it a few times.
