Hi i was signed up to Ubisoft.com this week cuz of my problems with Dark Messiah. But what took my attention was this forum, with all new posts. I expected this forum to be with messages from 2004 or 2005. What my point is, i loved Beyond GOod and Evil, and was like in love with this game. The music, the characters, the story, the graphics, the atmosphere, i hardly haven't played any games that i liked this much, so ive been looking for a next BGAE to come out then but couldnt find any information about it.

So my question is can anybody tell me some information about this?! I think its also difficult because the story of this game really looked like 1 part becuz you had to discover all the tricks of the goverment and so. But i know that everything is possible, only more people had to bought this game cuz i think that was the reason there never was a 2nd chapter, while lots of people loves this game, a bit strange if you ask me..

As for BG&E 2, there've been plenty of rumours, but at the moment there's never been any official confirmation that a sequel is being planned.

yea i thought so. Stupid sale stuff..

But i still got hope, cuz that guy from Ubisoft trully knows how many fans it gots. I mean, maybe the sales weren't that good, but with so many fans you still have to make another game. I think it will sell more becuz of this fans and the knowing there wouldn't be a part 3. I even orderd the game yesterday for Pc while i had already bought it for xbox 2 years ago.

I have three copies myself, and there's another fan I know who has all four copies.

Anyway, BG&E had a lot of factors against it. Holiday season release with hundreds of other games(including Prince of Persia). exclusive release on ps2 for two months, which gave it a bit of a false start. Lack of advertising, Ubisoft's fault. And a difficult game to sell, I guess.

There not be as many fans as it deserves, but we are fanatic fans, that's for sure.

Haha yea thats true. I must say, i didn't know the game untill i saw in a store. The story seems nice to me and the graphics looked cool to me. Once i bought it i searched for reviews in a Dutch magazine that i got a membership on. They gave it a 9.2 so i was happy with my choice and *******it i smoked a fat one and played all day in my own language. Normally i dont do that and even hate it with games but i laughed my ass of in this one, they really did a good job. Pey'J was much funnier in my own language.

I also loved it in Dutch. I had no choice, anyway. The Gamecube version only had Dutch and French...and I don't know French.

"atmosphere", one of my favorite words I got the most atmosphere from the Akuda Bar, my favorite place in all of BG&E. Anyways, glad to see another BG&E fan!

Yea, The Akuda Bar with that guy i guess he's called Rufus, who hides his stuff under his arm haha. I laughed my ass of when i saw him do that, while i spotted his secret from the stairs.

But i do have to say, that it irritated me a lot when that other side kick came in. I lost his name but Pey'J was soooooo much funnier, that i couldn waite for him to come back. I saved him in a hurry so the game was already completed after 4 days..

You didn't like Double H? I admit Pey's is more fun but Double H is a good character as well.

Hi Kaasvet, welcome to the forum! Now days this forum is mainly used for rumors & speculation, and sometimes people post fan fiction.

I usually check this forum at least once a week, and if I see an interesting post I'll comment on it. I figure that if there is ever any word on BG&E 2, this forum would be the first place I'd find out about it at.

BG&E was awesome. It really changed the way I look at games. I really wish they would make a BG&E 2, but now days I'm starting to doubt if that will ever happen.

I orderd the game this week even if i also had bought the game for Xbox, since i solled my xbox i wanted to playu it on Pc. But when i install the 2nd of the 3 cd's, and wont go further and after a quarter it stops with a error message. Has anybody had this error too?!

Does anybody knows how to help it?!

It's a common bug in the pc-version that prevents you from even installing it. You'd best return it to the store.

Well i ordered it at an online gamestore, is every pc version like this?! I really want to play the game. I even played it yesterday, i copied the 2nd cd to my harddisk and added it while the setup was busy, but he couldnt copy the last 2mb orso to my harddisk. Afterall, it did work, but i want to play it in Dutch and im hearing no voices and sounds. So i think thats the part that didnt copy

It's not in every pc-version, my copy was fine. But I heard it happens with a lot of pc-versions. Could also be one of the many reasons for the bad sales of BG&E.

Stupid ****, bought the game for the 2nd time, and it doenst even work. Tss..

On top of all that I thought the packaging was terrible. The front cover was great looking, but the back was a complicated jumble of tons of tiny screenshots and dark colors. Wasn't attractive/readable at all, and didn't sell the game for anything. Thats how it looked over here in the states anyways, not sure if it's different overseas.

Hello Kaasvet, great to meet you! I find it cool your mentioning how you expected these forums to be dead after all these years. I just wish I knew what Ubi thought about our little band of friends that have existed here for the last 2 years +. They've just got to shake their heads and wonder when we're going to leave.
