It may be very late in the process, but one way to show your support, and encourage a sequel, would be to purchase many copies of BG&E.

I am personally on a mission to collect as many copies as I can find.

You can always:
Give them as gifts to your gamer/non-gamer friends.
Impress others with your dedication to the game.

Spread the word.

Sounds a little.. insane to me. XD

I think there should be a Steam version, like how there was for Psychonauts. They have a policy to not release sales statistics, so we won't know how good it will be, but I think more would go for a Steam version than a Gametap version.

Actually, a Steam version sounds like a good idea. I would probably actually buy the PC version if I could purchase and download it through my Steam account.

Intelligent responses welcome, flames will be met with marshmallows.

I have GameTap, however I don't think I'll have it forever. So, for simplicity sake, and the ability to back up my saved games, I ordered the game from gogamer. I don't know if that'll help Ubisoft's sales numbers (as the product is discontinued). I did play through it on GameTap, and it was ranked pretty highly, so that might have given Ubisoft some inkling of its popularity (or defined it as an underachiever). No one reveals numbers so who knows???

I don't think that will make something to get a sequel. Game companies usually only cares of the sales of certain game the first 2 or 3 months after release. After that They don't seem to keep in mind anymore and they move to new projects

Well, I've found some good news. Ubi is actually selling a direct download of BGE right on their website!

I don't expect we will see a Steam version of the game because Ubi seems to have a close deal going with Direct2Drive. If you notice, Ubi's digital store looks a lot like Direct2Drive. It wouldn't surprise me if Direct2Drive is running it.

I really prefer Steam myself though.

I dont know where you come from but where I come from, Ausralia, there are no copies of BG&E to purchase. There were hardly any copies availble when the game was released and now youd be lucky to find a second hand version. I was incredibly lucky to find a new version. You guys are lucky to live in places where you can get good products easily Sad. Its sad brand new copies of BG&E arent in higher availibility because I think its a game everyone should play and the cover alone is enough to entice them Big Grin.

Ubisoft has just made a deal that will most likely see BG&E released on the Steam platform - BUT only to those that live in the United States. I hate you Ubisoft.

Be happy. Steam is SH**. This programm is totally annoying. Don't use it. Buy normal games

Steam was ****, now it's a viable gaming platform that has improved quite a bit over time. I hated when it first came out but it's come a long way since then...

Besides, games are cheaper (well most of the rime anyway) when digitally downloaded.
