I know it's just the outfit, but it's something And I hope this means we'll be getting some updates in the near future

Heh heh... I wonder how it was decided put a Jade skin in this game. It's nice to see them pay homage to the BG&E.

But as for the new PoP game, I have been playing it, and it makes me sad. They have done such an amazing job with the graphics, but they just got the presentation of the game all wrong. The voice acting feels out-of-place, the moves are confusing, the boss fights drag out, most of the story is heard through optional dialogues that you can easily forget to activate, and the interaction between the prince and Elika just doesn't feel quite as genuine as the interaction between the prince and Farah in Sands of Time.

I play the game and think, "NO, what have they done?!? This could have been one of the best games ever!" I just hate to bash the game because it tries to be creative and different. That's not common in gaming these days. But to put it bluntly, I think the art team succeeded with flying colors while everyone else failed.

Jason, I completely disagree. The voice acting is some of the best I've heard in any video game (Elika's voice acting is basically flawless) and the interaction between the prince and princess is far better than SoT (in my opinion of course). Although the initial impression I got from the new PoP game was similar to yours (I didn't have high hopes for the game to be honest), I completely changed my opinion halfway through the game.

The amount of detail on the skin is really impressive, it shows the developers put a lot of work into it.

The voice acting sounds modern and American. They don't even attempt to fit the setting. Worst of all is the prince's new voice. I can't stand it. As for what bothers me about their interaction, it's difficult to describe, but in the new game it almost seems too much like acting.

But thanks for the more detailed Jade outfit pics. I haven't beaten the game yet so I haven't seen them for myself.

Back before I even heard of this new PoP game, and before the first BG&E 2 trailer was revealed, I envisioned BG&E 2 with this style of graphics. When the first trailer was revealed, I was just mildly disappointed that they went with the realistic look.

Elika actually speaks Persian
It never really bothered me that the voices sound American, although I understand that not everyone agrees with that. Having Yuri Lowenthal voice the current prince wouldn't make sense though, it just doesn't fit the character.

One early HD trailer in a empty desert doesn't say much about the graphic style of BG&E2 so I don't agree (yet).

What I don't remember is, how long was this trailer out before it was revealed that the game would be cel-shaded?

it came out at the same time as the bg&e one. whenever that was, i can't remember off hand.
