So, it seems that i am going to build a diorama of the hangar and vehicals of the lighthouse. a scale of 1/24 (Jade would be 7cm tall approx) But, i need screens of the hangar. since i am a lazy ass i cba to do it myself. so here's a competition for the best set of pics of the hangar. I need ones going from the back (landing pad) to the entrance of the workshop, this would include pic on details like whats on the desk too. also i need ones of the hover craft and the beluga. Prize: 1 very hansome glow-in-the-dark triangle keycard hand crafted by yours truly! (5x9cm approx) k, i havn't finished the card yet, but it's shaping up for tomoz or by the end of the week. c'mon ppl, need those pics. i might do a seperate comp for the vehical pics, city pass for that mebbe... well we can't all be going round infiltrating the alpha sections bases as they not r belong to us... yet
one more thing - NO STEALING OTHER PPL'S IMAGES, so please watermark your own. (if you don't know how look for a tutorial on the net)

I can't participate right now because I haven't got the game installed and I haven't got the diskspace to do so. But I think that you might find this map useful in combination with the pictures you'll get from others:

It's very basic, but it's all I can do to help right now.

Thank you Denden666Piek; that'll come in handy
I have finished the card. Here is a pic of it. (i'll upload more later.)

I swear that the green triangle is much nicer in real life.
I'm Going to hold a seperate comp for the Hovercraft and The Beluga
>Prize for Beluga: Starcard
>Prize for HC: Jade's credit card (easy unit card)
>Prize for Most Detailed pictures: Citypass
Note: again, these aren't official.
Lastly, all competitors win a prize.

thank you Smile

i didn't watermark them because i doubt someone would be stupid enough to do that on this forum. If they did then they'd feel my wrath. i would love a change to flex my wrath muscles again... Big Grin

one thing, i realise that it's a diorama and probably won't have a top bit, but if it does then i sugget you pay attention to the ceiling, it's very detailed and will take some dedication... make sure you capture the whole BG&E feel Smile

need anymore? i've still got the game disc in. Smile

Haha, fear teh_uglyphil!
The diorama designs are shaping up really slowly, but faster with all the pics so far. just doing some tests for the parts of it now. the metal girders will be easy (in rigid polystyrene, the primary material i am using) but i am stumped how to do the rocks at the back! if anyone has any tips or suggestions Smile

well, there is the old cheesewire trick but i think that only works in professional cicumstances, so i suggest taking a sharp scalple and cutting small slices off at a time, first on one axis and then another to give the thing a rounded feel... if that makes any sense. but you have to organise them in to blocks so that they're interchangable if one breaks and so that they glue sweetly together. Cut the polistyreen into cuboids and then carve away at the long axis so that you get rocks that all conform nicely together.

blarg! you're the person for this kinda thing, i don't know. it's up to you i guess. something here smells stale.

I hope I didn't repeat any pictures. But then again, I don't believe in hope. Just trust. Angel

Make that Diorama shine!

EDIT: Okay, so maybe some did repeat. But now I got them! Woo!

These too are awesome! cheers Jerichowilks, and thanks for the tip uglyphil. i need some detail shots, like the wood texture, the metal girder parts and the stone and whatnot, also shots of the exposed circuits of the crane next to the hovercraft, some shots of the desks (showing whats on them) don't be afraid to take a screen in the camera veiw mode either! So textures, and small objects scattered around the hangar Smile

aww man! this is gonna be the best thing i've ever built, and i've built quite alot of stuff!

Edit: Here is another pic of the keycard, this is the prototype, so the others will be much nicer

well, you could copy the webcode from another website that you like onto your website and just edit the easy bits such as links, text and other miscelaeous stuff. all you need after that is to know the basic tags such as for bold,
for a paragraph break and so on.

My totally completely original hanger screenshot:

heh heh heh!

I'm usually a go-to guy for screenshots of any game, but I don't have any solid structure shots of the hanger. I need to get the game running to throw some up.

if you could take some of the beluga's landing pad (preferably with out the beluga on it) that would be great, so it shows it from side view. Thanks for the contribution

sorry I haven't posted any images of it yet, but it's looking good. i have been doing loads of study, so i havn't had much time to add much too it Frown The landing pad is looking cool so far. it has the wooden top, and a few metal girders around it.

So i fianally got round to taking some pics with my webcam, i havn't been doing much due to exams, but i am happy with it for the moment, i need to:do the weathering onto the landing pad, finish the railings, finish painting and detailing the girders (and put the rest on infact!) And then: Stonework, flooring, Pey'j's desk, the archway, the HC dock, and then possably the vehicals. The cards are being made this weekend, (if i can find that bl**dy glow in the dark paint) so don't think i have forgotten about you guys and gals.
MONTAGE!
