so... 2 weeks have rolled by since the release of the trailer... i think we're due for another one or at least a screen or two... i'm DYING here... i'm sure the rest of you guys are too... on top of all that, they haven't even really said "bg&e2 in production" as an official ubisoft statement. geez, man... what are they waiting for???

you really can't depend on that... there's not an official mention of it at all, nor is it inside information. besides, if that IS true, ubisoft shouldn't have put it in their line-up of trailers. it's like waiving a big juicy steak in the face of bg&e fans, then saying "sorry, you'll get that in 5 years when we really think you've earned it.

well, as i mentioned in the new screens/trailer thread, it doesn't seem practical. daroth mentioned not knowing any ubisoft game to take 5 years after showing a trailer... i agree. it's ridiculous to suspect that they'd do that. i'd say more realistically sometime in 2009. if they got a team workin on the game, it's not gonna take THAT long to produce. how do other companies produce games in a reasonable amount of time for the new gen consoles? they must know a way around the new technology... like... i don't know... new technology for production and development? geez... this guy is just speculating and his speculations seem to waaaay off for realistic time frames after showing official stuff. this isn't a leak like the POP art from two years ago... this officially released stuff. ubisoft wouldn't do that knowing it was gonna take another 5 years to come out.

Well of course nothing else has been shown. I wasn't expecting a single thing until E3.

If I were to take a guess on the release date, I would say Fall 2009. That's an optimistic guess though. It all depends, really. If they are working on multiple projects and BG&E 2 still has a small dedicated development team, then it could take longer. Or if the game is huge and ambitious, then we can expect delays.

Someone said up to five years... No, I don't think so. No later than Fall 2011, I would say. And I really don't expect it to take that long even if they do have delays.

It can't possibly take 5 years, because then they would have to keep updating the engine and graphics due to the progress in the hardware world.

So, has anything new been announced about the new POP game? Because if not, then we shouldn't expect anything eityer. Also, it sounds pretty logical that we wolill get some new stuff at E3 (although I have heard that it isn't as big as it used to be), when is it?

the new pop game HAS had more info. screen shots, character information, concept art, etc. including a new site. as for E3, that's correct, it's not as big as it once was. most of the information in the gaming world is released at the tokyo game show... though that's primarily stuff that has to do with japanese products, not french (as is the case with ubisoft).

They closed it off to the public; now it's invite only to members of the press. It's still roughly equal in exposure I think, the same amount of announcements are made at it at any rate.

I'm 80% sure that BG&E2 will turn up there, and we will have a face for Jade and a title as a bare minimum.
