Hopefully a fresh new CEO (Iger in Eisner out!) will breath some new life into Disney. Nobody can beat the original animated features they came out with, nobody. Its a shame they only release sequels directly to video, but that was probably an after effect of a weaker storyline that wouldn't be popular with movie-goers. Some of Disney's recent animated endeavors (and animated movies altogether) were quite entertaining, but the market is just not the same as it once was. Movies like Sinbad and that Atlantis movie were not terrible in anyway, but they just don't have the fanbase Disney once controlled.

As long as Pixar is left to their own bidding I am confident they will be nothing other than a fantastic asset for Disney. Meddling = Rush = ****. This is true with many video games as well.

I saw a new Curious George movie coming out, I can't remember if it was CG or animated. As long as the story holds, it should be a good indicator of how people feel about family oriented animated movies this year.

It's actually nice to hear that they've cancelled some of the bad-sounding projects... I wonder what kind of movies are going to come in now though... o_O;

An article concerning Disney/Pixar's future projects I was just as curious about this. Ratatouille, Pixar's next, has been in the works for about a year now (or probably longer, It was announced last year at this time.) I'm pumped up for it, early details sound solid. The talents at Pixar want to continue to write great stories, such as Brad Bird, so I'm expecting awesomeness from the studio yet.

Curious George, thankfully, is a 2D animated film. It's got a lot of hybrid shots utilizing 3D in backgrounds, but george is done in 2D. It looks good, and as you said, it should be good for the genre.
