Like I said, that's one of the mysteries of the original game. There's no direct indication that Jade is a host for Shauni, or that they are in fact separate entities (the human Jade and an alien lifeform Shauni). If the Domz Priest was telling the truth, Jade is basically living a lie and she is in fact "Shauni", she just doesn't remember it. There's no way to know for sure until we get a sequel.
And about Jade's ethnicity, seriously, does it matter?

I like your teory better Daroth. But I do have a qus. General Kehck said "He's looking for you he's been on your trail foe centeries." But Jade is only 20 years old.
Some things are too painful to remember...and too dangerous to forget.

If Jade is Shauni or Shauni is Jade but Jade is 20 years old and Shauni is 100's years old how is that posabled. We know Shauni is 100's years old because of what General Kehck said "He's looking for you he's been on your trail foe centeries."

That's what I think too. On jade's ethnicity she looks like an African, Mongolian, Caucasian. She's the most racially ambiguous character I've seen. lol
