A few rules:
Don'ts

1. No bashing bands or songs that you don't like.
   
2. No double posting
   
3. No discussions about musical genres and such
   
4. No bypassing the autocensor if the title of a song gets censored
   

Do's

1. Stating the artist and title of the song you're listening to
   
2. Stating the musical genre of the song if you want to
   
3. Being respectful of eachother's choice in music
   

Just remember that this is just to get to know each other better.

POD... i like Alive but i've still to hear anything else by them. I look forward to it though, they're a good band.

i'd like to point something out though. Why can't we bash bands that we don't like? i mean, its not like we're insulting the person who likes them.. i should be able to say for example "i really hate eminem, he just has no tallent etc etc", back up my opinions withlogic and so on, and everyone else just accepts that as my opinion... it doesn't really make any difference cos everyone else is still entitled to their own opinion and i don't disrespect anyone for having a diffrent opinion to me about him..

if i said for example, "hey, stfu moron. Eminem's ****", then that i can understand cos someone may take offence. but if we're gonna have a music thread, we need to be able to say both points of view or it just turns into "You will be nice. You will be happy. You WILL live in a world surrounded by psychological bubble wrap." and so on and so on. anyway, rant over. i just don't understand this buffering.

Well this isn't really a discussion thread, it's a thread where you're supposed to state the name of the band and title of the song, and little more. A "getting to know me and my taste in music" kinda thing. Bashing bands will lead to discussions, which is against my rules If you want to thouroughly discuss music and genres, you can make a new thread about that - I'd post there too because believe me, I love a good argument from time to time. But that's not really the point of this topic.

...ok, what just happened? i went smoothly from godly to spammer n00b without a thought...

hmm. nevermind. yeah, just one quick point about SoaD seeing as all three of us mentioned them? They are oneof my favourite bands atm, even if they're not my fav band ever. They are just so alternative, and i can quite happily sit and listen to Merzmerise followed by Steal This Album! and then they're self titled, finishing off with Toxicity, in that order, most evenings when playing Doom and not have to skip a song. That's what i love about SoaD. Really flawless music . oh and um.. *whispers* it's spelled Roulette

aww... "Tired of You" byt the Foo Fighters.. i love this song.. it's so emotional... it rings quite true to me at the moment as well. the lyrics are quite stirring...

And now some more Foo Fighters. This is a Call, X-Static (love that song) and Monkey Wrench. Awesome!

I'm now listening to the song that's played with the storybook-beginning of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I think it's one of the most beautiful versions of the Zelda-theme I ever heard.

While I was typing this post, the song ended and switched over to Ray Charles-Shake your Tailfeather. I once performed a dance at school with three friends on this song, we really impressed everybody that day.

I absolutely despise "1337speak" I can give the comment a try though.
