I'm a new Beyond Good and Evil player and I just wanted to show that this game is still in peoples minds. ps3.ign.com recently posted the top 10 underrated games and Beyond Good and Evil was listed as number one! Even they admitted that the game was overshawdowed and underepresented because of Prince of Persia. I have recently purchased a ps3 and Beyond Good and Evil was one of the first ps2 games that I had to pick up. Here's hoping that enough of a cult following develops that they'll release the two sequels to the game, just like the movie Serenity was released based on the cult following to the tv episodes Firefly.

BG&E was also #1 on the Top 10 Underrated Gamecube Games list on IGN. I'm glad people are not content with letting BG&E fade into obscurity.

Interesting idea they have there, releasing it alongside Montpellier's next project for free. Very good... might help us get a sequel, at any rate. I highly doubt they're making any more money from sales.

Ironically PoP: Sands of Time was bundled with a free copy of Splinter Cell to boost sales shortly after the game as released while BG&E was ignored. If Ubisoft wants to give the franchise another chance they should just make it available as a free download from their website (with the copy protection removed entirely, since it causes serious bugs that prevent you from finishing the game).

And I own the PC version of Psychonauts too. Happy At least Valve gave it a second chance and is selling it on Steam too.

I'm glad that we can continue supporting BG&E thanks to backwards compatibility and I salute you for buying BG&E for your ps3! Welcome to the club!

There IS the Ubisoft Action Adventure Collection, found on Amazon here:
http://www.amazon.com/UBI-Soft-78269-Adventure-Collecti...ie=UTF8&s=videogames
It contains Sands of Time, Splinter Cell, and Beyond Good and Evil. The only problem is it's almost impossible to find.

adventure collection? Yeesh, I hadn't even heard of that. Kind of tells you how much they marketed it. Shame too, that's a good collection.

I wonder how much longer until BGE is no longer on these lists of missed/underrated games. I wonder how much more recognition it'll take from these lists before we get a sequel.

I've played 5 of the 10 on the list. Not bad.
Sure would be nice for BG&E to do a Firefly, but the difference is that Joss Whedon had a rather rabid Buffy fanbase to help him with getting the word out there. Rayman was popular, but the audience wasn't the type to try out more of Ancel's work.

Well, some of the audience. Tongue I only decided to give BGE a try just because I loved the Rayman games. Same with Tonic Trouble though, and that one disappointed me because it was so easy. <=( XD
