You got me, I did indeed create this topic almost a year ago. I reincarnated it again by changing the title, starting post and bumping it by a new post. That's why the postst don't really match with the first one.

Oh man, Ubisoft is gonna OWN on the new nintendo console. Check out the new trailer for Red Steel: OJO!!!

I think it will take some time to get used to those controls, but when I finally do, I'll be gunning and swordfighting my way thorugh that game like a true gangster/samurai. Red Steel looks exactly like the kind of game I want to play on the new Nintendo console. You know, the kind of game that just isn't possible to play(not in this form, anyway) on the ps3(tilt sensors won't make it with this game), the Xbox 360 or pc. Awesome ****, Ubisoft better not screw up with this game, because this HAS to be a must-have for the new Nintendo console.

And then the trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4. Oh my god. Those graphics...all of the old characters...it almost makes me want to buy a ps3. Okay, I won't go that far, but MGS 4 looks SWEET!!!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm going to need a lot of money. I want to have Zelda: Twilight Princess, Red Steel, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and more, more, more!!! Just look at these videos: NINTENDO!!!

I'm seriously concidering making the Wii my first console. I've stuck with MicroSoft and PC's just because I didn't want to give up the controls.

Now:
-FPS' look easier on a console now.
-Windows Vista is mucking things up with all their integration. I don't want to give up even more control to these people. I want to arange my folders the way I WANT THEM TO BE ARANGED.

I watched all 3 conference videos, and I was very impressed by the PS3 and Wii ones. MicroSoft's was just incredibly boring with a lot of talk about why they're so great, graphs "about cultural significance", and a lot of talk about Windows Vista, and how it integrates so many things, and how you can even challenge people to play games against you from MSN Messenger.

It's annoying enough having convo windows pop up, but do I need a bunch of invites to a game of F.E.A.R. or Halo 2/3?

Actually, still a common misconception. There is just simply no substitute for a mouse when it comes to these things. Console FPS always turn out muddy and limited, and just never ever feel right. The Wii is the only console that may do it allright, but they've got a lot of work to do till they get there.

Was disapointed to not even hear about a rumor of BGE2 at E3, I followed the coverage religiously. I watched Nintendo and Microsoft's press conferences, slept through Sony's. I'm still not impressed with consoles, or their prices, and will continue to game PC.

See my further thoughts in the chat thread. (mostly concerning Wii and red steel.)

Red Steel's controls looked very sensitive, and I feel like it will take some time to get used to. It was just like the Halo-controls, which I hated at first. Now it's a wonderful kind of control, and I expect Wii to bring me the same experience, maybe even better. I'm not too fond of shooters, mouse or controller, either way my aiming is slow and sloppy. It's just not my thing, so for me it's not necessarily mouse over controller just because it's faster. One thing I expect from the Wii-controller, that I will feel totally immersed in the games I play on it, just because the Wii-controller does everything that a controller and a mouse couldn't do before: move freely in three dimensions in order to have total control. Now I could do that with the normal controller before and so I did, but that was just because the game had me immersed and I just HAD to move along with my character or vehicle on-screen. With Wii, it will finally have some use to move in front of the screen, because this time you'll actually manipulate your actions on-screen.

Ah, I'm glad we always have QuiGon to be at E3, nagging about BGE2. Someone's got to do it!

They're never to eager to tell us what their future plans are with their games. I think if Ancel's going to start a new project after Rayman, I think BGE could be a pretty solid choice for him. It's been awhile, and his biggest franchise will be fresh with it's newest cut.

And he'll have two recent successes on his hand, namely King Kong and Rayman Raving Rabbids, Ubisoft should give him permission for BG&E2 even if it's only to show their gratitude. What would Ubisoft be without Michel Ancel? Only Splinter Cell would still appeal to me, and the Prince of Persia-trilogy is pretty much finished, I think.

Well, Ubi will always have me with the Far Cry series. I'm an FPS junkie at heart, and those are darn good games (and quite pretty. just look at crysis. Reason number one why PC visuals still devour consoles.)
