i can only recommend two books personally... i don't read much because books don't interest me enough. therefore, they need to catch my attention above all others. those two books are To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and In the Shadow of Man by Jane Goodall. the first is an american classic novel, the other is a non-fiction anthropological study of chimpanzees that feels more like a story book than a scientific piece. i'm currently reading the sequel to In the Shadow of Man. it's called Through a Window. It's the same idea, but different times in the 40 years of Jane Goodall's studies in Gombe with the chimps.
