Maybe Jades Photo Gallery though...
I think there are too extremes. On one hand there are the wii owners who are amused by the unique wii remote functions and are more interested in fun games rather than artistic ionnovations or improvements or depth and maturity, and then there are the next gen console owners who insist on pushing the limits regardless of whether its neccesarry to create a beautiful game and are more interested in hyper-realistic graphics and serious games but wont settle for fun or modest but stylized graphics.

How about you keep your prejudice remarks about the Wii userbase to yourself or actually provide some evidence to support your claims. Although some minigame collections sell well on Wii it is in no way the only type of game that is selling on the platform. Now if developers like Ubisoft would actually put some effort into creating unique high quality games on Wii and they would all sell horribly you would have a point. Until then they only have themselves to blame for not getting any of my money.

That was moronic.
That's why Carnival Games sold a million and all the PetZ games sold a couple of hundred thousand while Zelda, Mario, Metroid and Resident Evil sold millions. Twilight Princess alone sold 6 million. Even on the Ubisoft side of things, No More Heroes outsold Petz DogZ & CatZ.

Hey I just realised it was Nintendo Power that began all the rumors about the sequel in the 1st place. It would be weird if the sequel had nothing to do with the Wii after that.
I think anyone who buys a Wii now is looking for casual games because its become abundantly clear that the availble Wii titles arent focusing on art and the Xbox 360 is cheaper and has all the RARE titles so price and adventure games isnt really a selling point for the Wii anymore. But I think alot of Wii owners probably bought the Wii for games like Zelda expecting more adventure titles but then got screwed. If its any consolation I think Xbox 360 owners like me also may have gotten screwed.
Also has anyone seen screenshots and footage from the new Spyro game. I think thats also being developed for both generations of consoles but it looks great anyway(not that BG&E@ should look anything like this). Still I wouldnt want them to invest too much on making BG&E2 availble on the Wii if it will harm the next gen versions. But if there going to make the game look as gritty as the teaser trailer just to appease the Next Gen owners then I think they might as well try making a Wii version if it will shift the focus back to art style and design rather than pixels and realism.

Oh, that is so true. I bought the Wii for Zelda, and I was expecting lots of new and interesting titles. And I got screwed. Back before the Wii was released, I drank the Nintendo kool-aid. I believed the argument that the current generation of graphics was "good enough." But I had been out of the console scene for years, and I didn't realize just how far behind the consoles were. 480p just looks terrible.

Ive been playing Spyro Dawn of the Dragon on the 360 which I think is just an upgrade over the wii and last gen versions and I think it looks pretty good wheras Tomb Raider Underworld which was supposodely built ground up for next gen looks terrible. Maybe this means that games improved from last gen versions for next gen versions can look good.
On the other hand Ratchet and Clank which is built ground up for next gen is the best looking next gen game out there so maybe im wrong.
If a Wii version is included maybe it will discourage developers from focusing too much on realism and giving us the magical look we got in the 1st game. Though I definately dont want it looking anything like the new POP game.

The Wii audience are new to the videogame scene and are unlikely to be the ones that check review scores of games or be familiar with a game which no-one played. Even if the Gamecube users who have transitioned to the Wii were to purchase the new game it would mean an even smaller profit.
By targeting are user base that uses tools like the internet, instead of they're parents opinions on what they think is fun, and a more realistic, but still fantastical, graphical style that is accessible to people that like good stories, but are unfamiliar of having them in cartoons, I believe they have a winning strategy.

I dont think adpating the game to appease wii audiences would be as detrimental as we think. If wii games are way too simplistic and childish but 'NExt gen' games are too griity, realistic or unimigainative then making a game for both could result in a nice balance. Then again this hasnt been the case with most multiplatform games.

It won't be on the wii because Michel Ancel likes quality.
