Hope this helps.

edit: Hmmm. You can preview Clint Mansell's Requiem For A Dream here. Lux Aeterna is here. Hmmm?

Indeed it helps Smile

So no one was able to "extract" it from the game music, or from the trailer in any way yet?

I think not. I do not think the music from the video trailer is extractable from the PC game archive as an audio track--maybe Bitebug can say.

I guess you could Download the UK Trailer (25 Mb) from the UK site, and convert that AVI audio to an MP3?

I believe this was discussed in the first thread I linked. I do not recall any later info. Maybe someone else will chime in.

The only thing to suggest is extract it from the trailers

Extract it from the trailer?
How?
Wasn't it suppose to be low on quality?

I don't think it's low quality - You can beef it up by using WMA instead of MP3

The soundtrack is WMA

Okay, I used Creative PlayCenter 2, which came with my Soundblaster Live! audio card. The BGE UK Trailer is a zip file that uncompresses to a 30MB AVI file. If you open PlayCenter 2, you can open the AVI file (which is higher quality than the US trailer, a 3MB WMV file). After you open the AVI (video) file with PlayCenter 2, it is then the active file. If you press the record button, instead of the play button, the video plays, but the audio stream is recorded/encoded to an audio file according to your PlayCenter 2 Encoder/Recorder settings. In my case I used 128 bit MP3, which produced a 907KB MP3 file. You could also encode WMA or WAV (lossless). That's one of many ways. You are basically ripping the audio from the video, instead of from a CD (for example). The quality is essentially what you hear when the AVI trailer plays.

It is only 56 seconds, and, of course, includes the sound effects. Since it is less than 1MB, I can email it, if you wish. You can provide your email address to me in a Private Message.

I can also send the Mammago Ukelele song, if anyone still wants it.
Wink

IGN had all the songs on their site at one point but I don't think they work anymore. It's a great soundtrack, I don't understand why Ubisoft hasn't created a disc or their own online mp3's so people won't be ripping the music from the game.
Well, thanks for the website. Too bad you have to join the insider site to listen to them... and you have to download. I'd prefer they just be click and play instead of having to download it.

I found a site with all the 31 songs that compose the soundtrack for Beyond Good and Evil.

The link is http://nintendoinsider.com/site/EpZlppyZVEShihRvCx.php

Hope you enjoy!!!

YES! Thank you. It took a while, but now I have access to all 31 tracks hosted.

Strange, but I really wish the songs had the voice-acting in them, especially the Pey'j one at the very end (where you free him from the Domz capsule).. can anyone aide me with this?

Does anyone still listen to these songs regularly? I know I do! Happy I love every single piece of music in the game. The ones with the main theme mixed in it(intro, end scene, trailer music) are my favourite, though.

I'm looking for a song that sounds similar to Ballade Hyllis 2 and the safari songs, but has a piano piece at the start. It's in 009_reveil_Jade_US.wad (but any language version will do)(it's the part where Jade wakes up after collapsing when Fehn Digler and the Alpha Sections leave the lighthouse), and begins playing pretty much when Secundo starts talking about the Science centre photography mission.

There are two unofficial versions, extracted from the game, converted, and mixed by forum members.

1. Thanks to Veavitdpoh, available at NintendoInsider.

2. Thanks to BiteBug, available at StormEffect.

These are both mentioned up above, just a little bit, in previous posts.

You should probably get them while you can, because you never know how long the kind, generous folks who are hosting them will continue to do so.

Special thanks and gratitude to Christophe Heral for producing such a wonderful score, which contributes in great measure to making BG&E the wonderful game that it is!

Also, thanks again to Rahly the wiz for writing the extractor to make these available.

You could also extract your own, if you have the PC version.

Read the full thread.

Edit: Sorry, BB, we were replying at the same time :)

Thiendrah, which link did you download the songs at?

I downloaded the soundtrack from Nintendo Insider, since they list all of 'em single-y and in mp3. That and I have no idea if my computer knows what to do with .rar. ^^; Although the single listed song at Storm Effect, Final Suite, is really good. Especially since NintendoInsider's version of it, called Redemption, is kinda corrupted so it has these distracting sonic skip sounds in it.

Anyway, to get the songs at Nintendo Insider, you have to join their forum and go the Members Only board to find the login and password so you can download the mp3s.
