Well I dislike Halo. I bought the PC version of it right when it was released. But in my modern PC game collection of purchased games, I place it at the bottom.

But keep in mind that there is no trash in my purchased game collection. I will give Halo credit. The music in the original Halo was great, and the story was above-average. But there was nothing special about the gameplay in my opinion. In fact, when they throw unlimited enemies at you in the later levels it gets quite annoying.

I never could quite understand the hype over the series. Microsoft throws a lot of money behind it to build up some of the hype. I remember when Halo 2 was released it was the news of the day on the MSN site (the default home page for IE users). When you see really good games like BG&E do so poor in sales, stuff like this is kind of irritating.

As for the greatest game site: I would like to vote for BG&E, but the title of "greatest game ever made" rightfully belongs to Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I won't vote for anything though, since I don't want to give this unknown site my email address. Sorry about that.

Well, LBA-fans don't have to worry about a thing, and neither do we. We're closing in on Halo and we're 8th right now. I am a bit pissed off about Tomb Raider being above Final Fantasy VII though, that's not right...but that's personal of course. Anyway, I do think it's safe to say that Tomb Raider doesn't belong that high up in the list.

when you enter your email and click "Submit Vote", you are navigated to a screen with checkboxes. these are something along the lines of:

"send me updates via email on the game i voted for"
"allow my email address to be distributed to similar companies"

both of which are UNchecked. so there's a dead lock on whether you want them to. if they violate it, it's a legal issue. obviously, you're entitled to not enter your address, that's fine. just letting you know that as far as i can tell, it's secure.

Well, I have to disagree with you on that one.
I never played "Final Fantasy" so I can't really say if it's better or something like that - maybe it is, who knows - but I do know that the entire TR series definitely belongs in the top 10, if not in the top 5.

The first one does, but the rest of them so far have been ****. Hate to break it to ya, but thats the way it is.

TR1, TR2 and TR3 were cool - others were....ok.AoD had a great story, but the game sucked - full of bugs.

I do have high hopes for the new Tomb Raider, and I do agree that the first one was revolutionary, but the subsiquent entries afterwords were the same rehashed bad controls and stale fromula after the genre had taken what the first one gave and ran with it, coming up with much better systems.

I was also surprised to see Tomb Raider in the list. I do not think it belongs there. The first Tomb Raider was pretty good, but not THAT good. All the other games after it have sucked. The only reason for the game's popularity is Lara.

But I also have high hopes for Tomb Raider: Legend. That's mainly because the game has a new developer. Crystal Dynamics is the maker of the Legacy of Kain series. The story in that series is one of the best in gaming. I really hope they can make TR:Legend great.

Skipping most of the posts here: It's nice to see that Little Big Adventure is #1. #2 was actually the superior game, if you ask me, though.

BG&E has surpassed Halo now, and it's going after Shenmue! I so want to play LBA, and I've been wanting to play it for years. After all this time, I haven't been able to, though. Tomb Raider is WAY too high on the list. I don't mind it being on the list, it was revolutionary for it's time. But it doesn't belong above Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII, Deus Ex, Metal Gear Solid or Beyond Good & Evil to name a few.

I don't see much point in voting for any game there, it's obvious that everyone's cheating anyway.

Cheating or not, I'm having fun checking it out every day. It's a fun little competetition, that's one way to look at it. Latest developments: it looks like Zelda-fans woke up and are trying desperately to keep Ocarina of Time above Tomb Raider, and so they should. Halo fans are coming in full force now, Halo 2 is climbing as rapidly as Tomb Raider did. This is not looking good. I think we'll end up with a great epic Clash of the Titans.

Bah! Halo will never be better than Goldeneye or Half Life in my opinion. HL2 was also pretty good, but not as good as the HL1 set.

You know that HALF LIFE is the single greatest game ever made by humans, period. There is no denying it, and no competing with it.
