..but, I'll tell you what I have heard:


BGE IS NUMBER 7!! ONLY 10 VOTES BEHIND UNREAL TOURNAMENT! It's beaten Halo2!! Deus Ex, Half-Life, HL2, Metal Gear Solid, Chrono Trigger... Guys, our game is rocketing above some of the greatest games! This is fantastic!

This isn't necesarily the biggest publication, but there are a couple thousand votes accumulated. We're definatly getting the word out huge with this one. Let's push for a top 5!!



And a side note for Phil - despite you negating your own argument, I'd enjoy the time to point out a few things in regards to Halo:


1. Halo was the first game to utilize extensive real time normal maps... on console. It had been done long before on PC with games such as Messiah and I believe even Tresspasser. And technically, the game really isn't well made. This isn't my PC bias, the game just isn't solid as a single player format is concerned. Level design was horrible - repetitive and uninspired.

But who cares! Halo2 is below BGE! Woooo!

At this rate, I bet we can beat out Shenmue and the original Halo, and depending on how long this vote goes on for, even Phantasy Star IV. But we're gonna need a lot more votes to get it up there.

Has any body posted about this on the Revolution forums or that other one, the one that I haven't really gotten around to visiting at all yet.

And hey, do y'all know of any bigger, more popular polls we can attack! I'm totally psyched about how this thing is turning out.

So long as we stay over Halo, Ill be fine.

Although I didn't have internet at home, at school I occasionally checked the list with great interest. I think Metal Gear Solid will be 9th soon, and BG&E tenth. I think it will lower even more if we don't find some ways to make it go up again. If there are more fanboy outbursts like that Tomb Raider, BG&E is going to have a hard time staying even near the top ten. We need more BG&E fanboy outbursts!

As long as it stays on the list, and above the afformented FPSs, Im happy.

I voted for BGE, although it pained me to do so. So many games I wanted to vote for, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, Deus Ex, HL2, Chrono Trigger, Metroid Prime. Well, atleast I have another email address...

Anyway, there must be some place we haven't hit yet. We can still get the word out to somewhere, can't we? C'mon, I'm a neb so don't know were to go for that kind of thing yet, but you guys have just gotta know a place, right? Right?

Not really, considering 2 games that I like get 1 more vote than the others.

Well, it's tricky. I know some forums, but if I go there, chances are they'll vote for other games, and then BG&E will be doomed on that list. Maybe there's someone here who knows some sites with special BG&E related forums?

Wow, Little Big Adventure is rising really fast. Well, since I've heard so many good stories about it on this forum in the past, I'll accept it.

This is a cool fight for me, because I am on both the side of LBA and BG&E.
Primarly LBA, I have to admit, my first love comes first.
But both are united against the evils of stuff like "Halo"

Only wish our forums could intermix a bit more...as I am sure both groups would enjoys the others game.

I'm curious, why does everyone seem to hate Halo? It's easily one of the best FPS I've ever played...

I dont hate it, its just that everyone thinks its the Second Coming, whereas its just another FPS in reality.

I hate it because I love FPS... on the PC. I was pumped for Halo and saved the entire single player game for the PC release. I was completely disapointed by the horribly linear and repepitive levels and lack of intregue. The multiplayer is fun, but it's not the best. The problem is that you have too many console gamers that think Halo is the first, and last, game to do these things, and the reality is far from it.
