Okay, I know this is probably not going to work out, but I figured what the heck, let's try it out. http://greatest50games.com/ has started a poll for the greatest videogames of all time, BG&E is not in there...yet. Let's vote BG&E! Tell others to vote BG&E as well. Maybe you have a friend who has played it, and he/she might be willing to vote for this game. I know BG&E is not even the favourite game of some people here(me included), but I still voted for BG&E. Let's see how high on the list we can get it, IF we can get it on the list at all that is...

Normally, I would have voted my favourite game of course, Final Fantasy VII. But it seems so useless. In these polls there's always a fight between Ocarina of Time-fanboys and Final Fantasy VII-fanboys. I decided not to take part in it this time, and to vote for my second favourite, BG&E. And then I realized that we, as a community, can try and get the game in the list. The ps2 version is selectable from the list, so vote for that one.
It's not really important for the Revolution or for getting the sequel, but it's fun nonetheless. Besides, if we succeed it will be most satisfying.

But, anyway, just because BGE isn't your favorite game doesn't mean anything. I actually play Soul Calibur 2 (now 3!) ten times more than BGE just cause I have more fun, but BGE totally blows it out of the water as far as score, cinematography, world, characters, sheer playability, not to mention that awe-factor that comes into play when photographing those big-old flying mantas (their kind creepy, but really beautiful, too).

BGE is definitely a better game, even though it isn't my favourite.

And seriously, am I wrong about the mantas? And that whale in space, too! No other game in the world has managed to bring a tear to my eye for the incredible beauty of it. Not even Final Fantasy.

That's why I'm talking so long, here. I'm just so passionate about how incredibly gorgeous everything in this game is! Everybody in the world should play it! Ahhhhhhhh! I just wanna launch some massive advertising campaign for it!

It makes me sick to my stomach to see Halo on the top 5. So many uneducated consumers out there think Halo is "The Game" Sure, its "The Game" if you follow the crowd in everything you do, especially if that means loving an over hyped game that has garbage gameplay and graphics.

Thankfully, there are some awesome games in there too. And then there's the ETERNAL battle between OoT and FF7...*sigh*...it looks like OoT wins this time, but it could have been differently all the same.

Hraesvelgr76, you must NEVER stop to talk so passionately about BG&E. Let it inspire you in your creative thinking, let it inspire you to do great stuff! Use your passion! Oh by the way, yes I think it's true that sometimes a favourite game, you do reckon to be not quite as good as a game that ranks slightly lower on your list of favourites. But I think that if Final Fantasy VII was made for the first time right now, with graphics and gameplay up to today's standards, but with the same story, it would truly be a better game than BG&E. As of now, the only thing about it that I consider better than BG&E, is the story(and the ultimate villain of course). Gameplay and (obviously)graphics simply can't touch BG&E. I think that if you can recognize the superiority of a game you don't like as much as your own personal favourite game, than you are probably *NOT* just a casual gamer. Then you are a serious or even a hardcore gamer.

Okay, I think I will post some advertising for this at gamefaqs and IGN later. But if anyone knows a forum that's a little more active, be my guest and post there. Just watch out what kind of forum you post on, the community of a forum that's related to a certain game will probably visit that site and vote for that game and not BG&E.

Halo IS a good game. i mean, whether you like it or not is a irrelivant, technically it was very well made. it was the first game to make major in-game use of normal (bump) mapping as far as i know. the graphics were unmatched at the time of it's release, it was truely a revolutionary FPS. that being said, i thought that as a game, it was kinda simple and not too involving. It was great fun to play for a few hours and i really enjoyed it, but it didn't captivate me. i measure this on a scale of how long it takes me in the morning to think "i've got to get back to that game!"... with BG&E, i was thinking about it ever before i had woken up, so you can see how much it captivated me. Ok, so Halo may not be the best game ever, but i don't think it was that far behind Half Life in terms of how it caught peoples attention and impressed the gaming community.

Hahahahaha, no, don't stop please! We need this kinda thing for the Revolution! besides, it's great to find people who can talk passionately about the game and who share those emotions. It was the first game to make me really hateful at the bad guys... usually when i play a game, i'm just doing a job, kinda like a hitman, i just play the game, get to the end, kill the bad guy and enjoy the satisfaction of completeing it, and that's it. but with BG&E (***Spoiler***), i got really mad when they destroyed the lighthouse... like, actually mad, like it had actually happened to someone i know! i really felt for the characters and what happened to them, and i was so immensely immersed in the game that i felt actual emotion for the characters. Truth is, i fell in love with the game. That's why i'm here, channelling all my love into crappy photoshop banners and those blender music videos.
