I babbled about mine in the Offical Chat Thread, so why not spam and create an entire thread of accomplishments where you can get a high post count and bask in your own glory? I vote yes. or Creo que sí.

Anyways, I am proud of myself because I understand my geometry-waxing-trig class: I get the whole sine, cosine, and tangent bit that my teacher went over this week. And we have a quiz tomorrow.
And I understand my Spanish almost perfectly. I just keep forgetting how to spell some vocab words.
Annnnnd at the stage crew I finished painting a bunch of flats today all by myself. ^_^

Oh and the 'post a new thread' button was taunting me.

Fun topic, BTW. It's not like the forum is so busy that topics like this distract from a dozen of more important subjects. I approve of this topic!

I'm proud of myself because I did so well in the English oral exam yesterday, and because I just made my first YTMND as a combination of Tenacious D and BG&E. Although the endresult may not be very special, maybe even flawed, I'm still proud of myself for this holy combination.

I'm proud of myself because of the things I create when I put my mind to it. I'm very creative, and sometimes I create things that just blow my mind. My website, photoshop C music propaganda (as noted in the old photoshop thread) andimations, and video editing stuff. I love telling stories, and visual formats are my favorite way of communicating them.

This week I finished the intro to the unit video. THis thing is epic, and most importantly, I'm giving every one of the guys here, all brothers to me, the most solid, visual reminder of these great few years they could ever have. Bringing that smile to thier faces is exactly why I neglect myself from sleep each night, it makes the work worth it.

I created some great 3D animation stuff, some specifically for the unit video intro. I'll get some of it compressed and put on here (I haven't given up on 3D, far from it. I've only neglected updating my topic here. With a full time website devoted to it, I don't think to post here as much. Keep visiting www.itsrigged.net and let me know your thoughts.)

This ones a little late, but it's still a great accomplishment.

On Saturday, I went with our local chapter of ACM (An organization centered around computers, programming, and all other applicable areas) and built a computer lab for a youth outreach institution. The place was non-profit, obviously, and was in pretty bad disrepair. It's a place for underprivelaged children to go for whatever reason. Let me tell you guys, it's been a very long time since I felt this good about something I had done for other people.

The building when we got there

The almost finished lab.

The ACM chapter

End result = warm and fuzzy

We recieved enough parts to build 8 computers as well as 2 servers with GUMBY installed for web filtering and administartion. We installed the Edubuntu Linux OS on the computers, they came with lots of educational software that would let the kids have fun while learning at the same time. We bought a huge 16 port switch and 100 feet of un crimped Cat 5e cable, which we crimped ourselves, to network all of them together. The kids we SO incredibly happy to have them, and they loved having us there. The adults were in tears, it was just an amazing experience. I'm so fortunate to be able to make a difference with the talents I have. Definatly an accomplishment for the year.

Congrats with that, Lynx. My latest great accomplishment is personal one: I didn't get a bad grade for Math for the first time this schoolyear. Maybe there's hope for my final exams after all. Big Grin

The most recent accomplisment - Last night I built my first PC from scratch by myself. I've helped people build, and I've upgraded almost every type of component, but I've never built a new PC from scractch without assistance. The build went great, and had absolutely NO problems! All the ports work, the front mounted USB and headphone jacks work, all the components and hardware work, and the PC booted with no problems. I couldn't believe it. In all of my experiences, at least something goes wrong. Anyways, I built the New PC for the family, they needed to upgrade from a 500 mhz AMD compaq. They now have a 2.4 ghz PC, 533 FSB, ATI Radeon 9800 SE, 80 gig HDD, 1 gig of RAM (PC 3200 I think) All on an ASUS mobo. It's a really nice rig, great for all the computing they need plus a little juice so my sister can game. Anyways, it's sitting here right beside me and my sweet box, glowing it's little blue glow. Good stuff. Yay for PCs

The abridged versions (details in the chat topic) :

I finished and premiered the Unit Video to everyone in 4 East, it was one of the greatest moments of my entire life.

AND

I'm hired at WNDU-TV as an intern in the production department! So, I now have solid work for the summer that'll go great on the resume. WNDU is our local NBC station. NBC is definatly a name that's good to have on the resume. I'll be doing graphics, animation, or vidoe editing. I'm really looking forward to it. I took drug tests today, now we're waiting on the results, so I should start working there mid next week. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Resurrecting an obscure, old topic... but anyways:

I found another huge box of old clothes in my basement. This = free clothes. Like the good kind.
Shirts from Yosemite & other random national parks, some blue dress that is apparently from Hawaii in the 70's...
And the best part is that it's free! You have to pay more at Goodwill nowadays, but you can never beat the free things from your basement.
Cool

And I biked twenty miles yesterday. That was pretty fun.
