Okay, so I bought this game ages ago; shortly after it came out, and...for what it's worth, I enjoyed as far as I got (although I was unprepared for the talking pig and whathaveyou; just the pretty girl who wore lots of green. Yes, I know their names, but that's simply what they were to me when I bought the game. Keep up Razz).
But then I got stuck; there was one part of the game where I had to hit a switch and get past some doors, but I could never get the timing right, so I just gave up and sold the game.

Bear in mind that this is years ago...

HOWEVER, having seen the trailer for the sequel, I recently re-ordered the game, and only later realized that there are "noticeable issues" with the game when played on a PS3 (I gave my PS2 to my sister). What this means, I don't know.
So, if anyone is able, would you kindly tell me how the game runs on PS3?

I mean, God of War is in the same category, but thus far, playing through that, I haven't noticed anything much aside from the music from the Rings of Pandora continuing right through the whole game...but I think that happened on the PS2 as well...

Thankee.

"Could never get the timing right and gave up"? So this is where Ubisoft is getting the ideas about the game being too hard...

So he got stuck? Big deal. Don't post if you aren't going to bother helping him with his question.

I, personally, don't have a PS3. But I know for backwards compatible Xbox games on the 360, it always says that there may be some issues. These are usually just graphic glitches. It's never anything that hinders the actual gameplay, or keeps you from progressing. I wouldn't worry about it.

I would have got it for XBox, cause I have a 360 as well, and, when games are BC on there, they're upscaled better, but I checked, and it ain't on the list of BC games. So dang.

Yep. That's why I said it Big Grin.

No, actually, I never mentioned it before. Must have been from someone else. And bear in mind I wasn't that into the game by that point.
The game wasn't hard, but I just didn't get that one bit, so I got bored. I'm sure I did something wrong or missed something, cause I wasn't much of a gamer back then, anyway.

But thanks for being helpful and understanding [/sarcasm]

some games are not playable yet, or have issues due to needed to be supported better for the ps3 (80 gb and 40 gb only). i have god of war and god of war 2... both work fine... but some games do not. you need to ensure you're keeping up with the software updates. right now i have a few games i can't play, which really is quite a bummer. it sounds like bg&e is one of these unsupported titles. ubisoft must make an effort to update the issues and send them to sony i believe.

check here for supported games: http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus

for bg&e it says at certain points in the game, water textures appear corrupt. if you're getting other issues, you may need to find a way to send these issues to ubisoft.
