So everyone, remember when I returned from a very busy semester last time and said that was it, that I would be back for good?

That was pretty funny, wasn't it?

Well this time, I'm sincere. My semester is over. I just started Christmas break a few days ago. School hammered me, pounded me, plastered me, and owned me. It hurt. I was burned out almost worse than I've ever felt at school. But life is good and things are going well. Here's a quick update:

-The girl situation. I've decided I don't have the time or money for a relationship right now. With college finishing up for my in just one semester, I'll need to focus on graduating and starting a career. Moving out and all that stuff. I did make two great friends because of it, and who knows where that will lead in the future. I'm not counting them out.

-I'm not working over break. That's 4 weeks of sitting on my butt. I won't go back to the theater, not even to visit. I don't have any desire to see that place again, or most of the people for that matter. Result of this non-work? LOTS OF FREETIME! Guys, I haven't felt this good in a VERY long time. I can actually relax, not having to be doing somehting each hour of the day. this is giving me a great chance to get some time to get back into animation and digital arts. Not to mention gaming is back!

-I'm working with two professors next semester on a "unofficial senior animation project." This isn't going to count for a grade, or credits. It's simply an attempt to get me to apply EVERYTHING I've learned and develop a short. This will help me to build a solid portfolio/demo reel by graduation. I don't know if I'll complete it, but I'm going to try as hard as I can. I'm really looking forward to this. I'll keep you all updated with progress, of course. (If you have any story ideas, please feel free to pitch them to me.)

-I own a Nintendo Wii. I LOVE THAT STINKIN WHITE BOX! I picked it up on release day, had about 8 guys in my room constantly all day playing it. We clocked almost 10 hours on it that first Sunday, and it's been played everyday except for one, when I had the stomac flu. The system is amazing. I own Wii Sports, Excite Truck, and Twilight Princess. I haven't been disappointed at all in the system. I bought it for multiplayer gaming, and it's gotten great use out of that so far. I'm still primarily a PC gamer (Company of Heroes taking significant time right now) but the Wii has a special place in my heart. I love everything about that system. If anyone here has a Wii, please jump over to the Wii topic I made to exchange Wii numbers!

-The PS3 is awful! I've tried playing it every time I go to Walmart. Only 1 time out of 5 attempts was I able to finish a race in Motostorm. 1 out of 5! It froze up all of the other 4 times. Not to mention framerates were awful, literally averaging 15-20 frames per second, some times even dropping to 10 when there were lots of cars on screen and dust partcles were plentiful. This is our 600 dollar gaming machiene of the future? Count me out.

-School. I had final portfolios and finals the last few weeks, and that kept me busy. 3 weeks ago I got the stomach flue on the eve of finals. I was in bed and slept through Monday, don't remember any of it. It put me behind schedule, and I spent 2 weeks catching up. It was exhausting. It took a lot out of me. But my advanced computer graphics portfolio is complete, and I'm happy with it. I'll try and upload some of the work, I think Dom will enjoy looking at it.

I got a wisdom tooth pulled today. OUCH. My first major surgery of any type. I had them knock me out, I hate any type of teeth operations. I heard lots of stories on how quickly you go out, and how strange you act when you wake up. Being tough, I tried to fight the sleep as they injected it into my blood stream. It was hilarious. Me being a huge guy it took about 6 seconds before I conked out. I was trying my best to stay awake, but it was impossible. I woke up after what felt like seconds. It was the deepest sleep I've ever been in. I tried to act non-drowsy, but all I did was make myself look like a fool. I'm apparently really loopy and hilarious when being drugged. I remember a few things, like hearing "Oh Holy Night" played on the radio in the hall. I started singing to it, completely sluggish and off-key. It was awesomely bad. Thankfully I expected this attitude, so I brought my camera and recorded myself minutes after waking up. I was saying all kinds of stupid stuff, and I looked like this:



So I've been in bed all day since then. I watched the Ant Bully, then wathced a great open forum about Pixar featuring Ed Catmul (co-founder Pixar, CEO), Andrew Stanton (Director, Finding Nemo), and Brad Bird (director, Incredibles). Lots of cool information. The rest of the day has been my listening to soft tunes on my computer while laying in bed and having my cat periodically nap on my chest. The tooth doesn't hurt very much, but I'm starving for a nice double cheesburger. Too bad I can't touch one for a few days.

Feels great to be back. I really truly am back this time, with 3 weeks of NOTHING ahead of me. Lets get this forum kicked into high gear and start some good converstations! I'm off to go watch Tension, I've been meaning of doing that for about a month now.

The return of me, too. Hah.
I've been busy with... everything. Extra cirriculars, my friends, schoolwork, and staying sane.
And my room is trashed anyways, and I don't own a Wii. I really don't want to buy it, for fear of addiction. I already have many bad habits: recording many CSIs on my TiVo, watching Naruto obsessively, sleeping ontop of a heating pad, and making things out of duct tape.
Really, I do not need anymore.
But anyways, I should be back more, too. Why? Because I can just make time. Yey!!!

Lots of rest and relaxation coming in, eh? Well, that'll be good times, no doubt.

I'll be doing the same. Pretty much doing the same thing with that girl situation(Except alot deeper... ALOT deeper) so don't know how that'll end up.

I've been meaning to play the new Poke 646. The original was awesome, and I've heard great things for the new one.
