Heres to hoping everyone's Christmas is a great one, no matter what. Christmas is a poor excuse to suddenly remember all that is important to you, and who is close to you, but it's a time that reminds me I should tell those who have had this impact on me. Thanks guys, for all the great times, discussions, arguments, and memories. It's your friendship that's made the greatest gift I could have. A brilliant game brought us together, but it's our talents, our personalities, our differences that keep us here. Don't be bothered by the material aspects of Christmas (but do take time to enjoy them a little </mushy> post over ***************************** Through Jesus Christ, he has made me FIREPROOF My website, It's Rigged! Thanks, Lynx. One thing I like about you is that you aren't afraid to let everyone know that you are a Christian.
And Merry Christmas to you, too! Intelligent responses welcome, flames will be met with marshmallows. |

Yey. Christmas.
Sadly, I've become materalistic and love my presents, but I love the givers more. I love being around my family on Christmas day because I never see my cousins or literally anybody except my grandmother. Good food, gifts, and family... that's what Christmas, Hannukah, or any amazing holiday should be about. But as you said, it's kind of depressing people get in the "let's visit each other" type of mood during the holidays. But at least you see relatives on a yearly basis. Happy late Christmas and Hannukah! (Kwanza, too). Please don't sue me. |

Christmas was fun! Although I really liked the atmosphere of Christmas like every year, when I tell you how spoiled I got, you'll understand why I don't mind getting presents at all.
Games: -Spiderman 2, webslinging: I love it! -Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, probably even more fun with three friends who are just as silly as yourself. - Viewtiful Joe 2, awesome! - Spyro: A Hero's Tale, like an old friend. Spyro 2 on the psx had that special kind of game magic that makes you keep playing it until you drop. Although this is nothing more than a nice platformer, it IS Spyro! Movies: - Batman, Tim Burton is great! - Batman Returns, Tim Burton Rulez! - Big Fish, Tim Burton=Holy Man! - The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tim Burton=GOD!!! I've watched it five times since I got it for Christmas. I'm hooked. The story, the characters, the songs, the style, everything! It has everything!!! - Spiderman - Star Wars Episode III to VI - Attack of the 50 ft Woman - The Terror(movie with Jack Nocholson and Boris Karloff, WHOA!!!) - Return of the Killer Tomatoes - Peter Jackson Box: Bad Taste + Meet the Feebles, you'll probably have noticed by now that I love cult-movies, and my mom knows it too! - King Kong Production Diaries, very interesting - Madagascar - The Incredibles - Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events - Un Long Dimanche de Fiancelles, beautiful movie about love and the First World War. - The Grinch - Pulp Fiction - 12 Monkeys - Batman Forever And now the REALLY good stuff: Mcfairlane ToyS The Matrix Figures: Niobe Neo Agent Smith and Neo in the Super Burly Brawl And they rule!!! And then there's: A Batman Begins-action figure Shrek 2-figures The Emperor from Star Wars Episode III-figure And I got something to put my DVD's in, and I got the new Harry Potter-book, in english of course! |

Holy carp Denden, thats a heck of a lineup! You'll be watching movies till you pass out, and you'll love every bit of it!
Woo! I got it on DVD as well, and I remember just how great it is.It's a very well done film, deserves a high spot in animation classics. However, I think I like Corpse Bride just a little bit more, most Burton fans, especially Nightmare fanboys, would strangle me for saying that. (they argue it wasn't musical enough, despite the fact that music played a large role in it. Corpse is a more serious film, and fun song and dance numbers take a back seat, usually, to storytelling and emotion.) It seems that it's been a very Tim Burton Christmas for us. You got 4 Burton films, I got 2. Nightmare and Edward Scissorhands. These examples make perfect use of the film trinity : Burton, Elfman, and Depp. They are unstoppable. And you picked up The Incredibles, Lemony Snicket, Madagascar, those are great flicks! And you got to love McFarlane toys. So detailed and cool looking that its a status symbol just to have them on your desk. (they just recently released Corpse Bride figures) Here's my Christmas final lineup: It seems entertainment has been pushed aside by professionalism, the majority of my gifts had to do with animation and my career. That's fine with me, it's just as fun as gaming is. Movies: Nightmare Before Christmas Robots Spaceballs Enemy at the Gates Edward Scissorhands Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Toy Story 2 (bought for myself, early And only one game - The Movies. Read about it in the chat thread. AS far as professional tools go, I got a Wacom Graphire 4X5 drawing tablet, a USB jog wheel for animating and video editing, a new stylus/pen/laserpointer combo for my pocket PC, a carrying harness for my PC, and a new keyboard. I'll be using work and giftcards to buy an external HDD for backing up my work and video source files (which add up to about 90 gigs for a 1 hour project!) I got three animation books: The Art of Walt Disney (the books a treasure) The Art of The Incredibles, and The Art of 3D Computer Animation and Effects 3rd Edition. Cooler yet, my mom surprised me and bought me a share of stock in Pixar! She framed it and everything! I own the studio I love! But, most importantly, I enjoyed the company of many friends and family that I haven't seen in quite awhile. I was traveling all over for the last week, breaking the bank buying gifts for everyone, but I didn't care. I just enjoyed seeing everyone. and now we have new years. yay. ***************************** Through Jesus Christ, he has made me FIREPROOF My website, It's Rigged! I'm not a teen, nor adult. Wow, Lynx, looks like you've got spoiled as well.
The Movies is a great game, eh? Problem is, I've got five games to play, right now. One has to make a choice, and Spyro I chose for now. Oh BTW, Corpse Bride: Tim Burton=ELDER GOD!!! lol I like Corpse Bride also a bit more than TNBC, but TNBC is still incredible. I wanted Edward Scissorhands too, but I guess I'll get it later. There's no hurry. And you're right about the Mcfairlane toys, it's incredibly detailed. Neo and Smith in the Super Burly Brawl-stance even look like they're soaked. I'll keep them in the box until I get a nice display case. You've got some great movies as well, especially Spaceballs, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Toy Story 2 are hilarious. And Enemy at the Gates is awesome. It has Second World War and snipers, can't go wrong with that! |

i wrecked my car like a couple months ago and it's been in the shop so my dad's been loaning me money while i've had no work... and my dad just retired so he's on a fixed income... so likewise this christmas, and my b-day (the 28th) were both kinda poor.

Since we're posting loot, I'll be the one to join in:
For games, I got: Fable: The Lost Chapters for PC. Star Wars Battlefront II for PC. I only got one book, and it is Stranger in a Strange Land. I hope I'll read it by summer, because I really pretty slow. For DVDs, I got Firefly (the complete series) on DVD Serenity And Star Wars III And the best part was a Force FX lightsaber that's mounted on my wall. Plus a sweater and a vest that is an odd shade of red. And 100 blank CDs and a Jedi poster. And Febreeze. It was a good Christmas anyway because I saw my cousins (who I never see) and all of my extended family, and caught up with them on events and such. :] |

Either way, it's a winner. Get out there and capture some amazing shots! What camera specific is it? >photography nut
Ooooh.... I called one of my friends from school, he told me he got both of these. I've seen neither, so I'm really looking forward to watching both. I've hear really great things. This FX lightsabers are sweet! The sound effects are so fun, when you slam it into someone and it crackles all over. ***************************** Through Jesus Christ, he has made me FIREPROOF My website, It's Rigged! Serenity is a great movie. And Firefly was a great show, which was unfortunately cancelled. And I also highly reccomend them both, but watch Firefly before seeing Serenity...
I didn't find that out until my friend hit her sister with it and I thought it broke. Now I like to whack random things... siblings, Coke cans... |
