Tension is very near to completion right now. Today we worked on the soundtrack and we adjusted the sound in the movie to make sure that all speech is hearable. Some problems arose, one of our actors spoke a bit soft, so we needed to adjust the volume a lot during his dialogue. Also, Adobe Premiere screwed us by somehow throwing away all of our edited footage. Thanks Adobe Premiere! Luckily, we already rendered the movie(without music), or else we would have to start ALL OVER AGAIN. So we took the rendered movie and added all the music to it. Ervee composed some great music for the soundtrack, I'm very happy with it. We also got music from Silent Hill, Requiem For a Dream and The Village. But then, another problem appeared, one that will have some (negative) effect on the movie. I shouldn't be talking about this, in the hope of no one noticing when watching the movie, but I'll say it anyway. The music, when imported in Adobe, gets compressed and
suddenly there are clicks and pops in the tracks. This is saddening, because these
clicks and pops will be all over the finished product now. We tried dealing with this
problem, but there's nothing we can do about it. All in all, the endresult will not be as
good as it could have been, due to technical issues. But it will still be a good movie,
in my opinion. You'll have to see it for yourself soon. The begintitles and endcredits
need to be inserted and we need to insert some extra dialogue. We need to make a
blooper reel for the DVD(and for Youtube and this site, of course) and perhaps a trailer. One more day of work is all we need...

Denden, I think there's an option in Premiere to disable that. I've been able to have clean imports for audio files when I worked on my projects. What file formats are the music?

BTW, the last day of work on Tension has been moved to wednessday, my friend is very busy at the moment. I'm so hoping we'll get it done wednessday.

Tension is finally finished! Yesterday, Ervee and I finished the movie and the behind-the-scenes(mostly bloopers). I can't really explain to you in words how excited I am right now. I'm really looking forward to finally showing all of you what Ervee and I have been working on for so long. It's just 9 or 10 minutes of film in the end, but I think we did a good job on making those 9 minutes totally worth the watch (and wait). You'll have to see and judge it for yourself soon enough. First it has to put on DVD, which is Ervee's job now. I promise that as soon as I get my hands on the DVD, I'm going to rip the movie from it and publish it on Youtube. A moment I've been waiting for for a very long time. Of course, I'll tell you now, don't be afraid to criticize whatever you don't like about it. But I also hope you'll be able to recognize the
hard work we put into it.

Wisdom teeth being pulled sucks. Had one taken out today, and been buming around in bed ever since. Details in my topic. If you ever have wisdom teeth pulled, do yourself a favor and have them knock you out. It's hilarious the things you do and say when you wake up.

I got really really busy with school, but now I'm back. Unfortunately, it seems most everyone else is away. Denden's been quite busy ever since he started at university, Shanui also seems to be busy, and Thunderpants shows up every once in awhile. Dom too is still always around it seems. Not enough activity. We desperately need something to happen here.

That forum crash really sucks. Now it's almost like I never left the forum. I did watch some of the topics while I was inactive, but now they're all gone so I can't reply. Darn it, something like this isn't good for a forum that's as inactive as it is.

So, how are you guys? It's been a while since I've left the BG&E forums to concentrate on my study and to be able to play some games I've been wanting to play for along time. I also got a little more active on a Dutch forum. Anyway, I've bought a whole bunch of Gamecube games which were on sale. My first exams went okay, I failed 2 out of 6, but that's okay. I've got 20 points now, and by the end of the college year I need to have obtained 40. I'm not worried. I've been having a lot of fun at my student association as well, and I'm joining the film committee. The film committee plays movies at least one evening every week and I think I can help out selecting movies with my knowledge of films. I've got some ideas for BG&E Music Videos, which at the same time is kind of therapy for me as a film maker, because I'm a little frustrated that there isn't any time to make a real movie. Plus, it's good training for my editing skills. I've finished one video, check out the Music Videos topic.

Excellent to see you back Denden. I know how that college grind goes, you'll have busy days, and then you'll have IMPOSSIBLY busy days.

I've been doing great lately. I had the best week ever this week. It was one of those weeks where everything was going my way. I had a senior presentation for my internet programming major, and it went perfectly. I was really enthusiastic and charismatic as I presented my website work from my job here. I started running to get into shape, and I run 2 miles a day, 5 days a week. I've lost a lot of weight, and I can run a mile in about 8-9 minutes. That's a significant improvement considering I ran a mile in about 13 minutes back in Jr. High. I'm currently over at my brother's house and getting ready to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow with him. I got to go with him to work at Fox59 to watch the news broadcast (he does the same work I did as intern over the summer.) It was great fun seeing another studio in action. I'm currently enrolled in a Storyboarding and Composition class. This class focuses on storyboard illustration for film. It's probably the best class I've ever taken. We have daily film studies. The prof, who is a professional and master illustrator, doesn't stress quality of draftsmanship, but rather the ability to tell a story with illustration in a short amount of time. It's been a great class to improve my draftsmanship and stretch my storytelling muscles. Not to mention it's the first class I've ever taken that actually applies to my interest in film and animation. On top of all of these events, I fixed a girl's computer, and went on a dinner date with her. It was awesome. Hasn't happened in awhile, and it was great fun. I'll keep you updated on that situation if it goes anywhere. I'm going to try my best to progress things, but I'm quite happy with the new found friendship that's been established. (This girl... she has a subwoofer in her car bigger than the one I have for my PC. Remember the new system I got and showed here? I was in awe... that doesn't happen. Guys don't have bigger subwoofers than I, let alone girls! That's friggin sweet.)

So life is going fantastic right now. I've made a successful effort on adjusting my lifestyle to be more accepting and outgoing, less anger and spite. It's worked great so far, and each day has been brighter for me because of it. Ahh, the story known as life, what suprises don't you hold?

The story of life is a great one indeed, if you take the right paths. I wish I could take a class like that, Lynx. But for now I'll just settle with regular English college and the student association, and I'm enjoying them both a lot. Maybe the student association a bit more than what's good for me and my studies, but you gotta live life to the fullest in my opinion.

LOVE BEYOND GOOD AND EVILS ENVIRONMENTS
I love the environments in BG&EIve played this game like 3 times and every time i walk into the Black Isle caves Im still amazed. Its just so beautiful and what makes them more gorgeous is seing Jades character model walking around while you explore them. I think Jades character model is just gorgeous and recognizable enough.

OTHER GAMESOTHER GAMES
I cant believe that this of all games is underated and things like Kingdom Hearts and shooting and racing games get so much attention. Ive got Kingdom Hearts and neither games, in my oppinion, can hold a candle to BGE. Especially the second one which I consider to be a prime example of everything a game should NOT be.

Anyone here played Tomb Raider Legend. I loved it. Not huge fan of Tomb Raider games but the franchise and concept have always appealed to me. Not quite BG&E but the visuals and gameplay blew me away.


Anyone here played Sudeki. I had a lot of fun playing this because of the twists, puzzles and later environments. But as far as design goes this was a stylistic nightmare. Also the overall concept and universe of the game seems to lack substance.

Still Ive always been interested in rpg's and have had my eyes on Xenosaga 3 and Final Fantasy 12. But Im turned of by anime-style rpgs which have several playable characters and no unique central concept. This is one of the reasons ive been reluctant to buy Final Fantasy 12 and Xenosaga 3. Also my experience with Kingdom Hearts left me with a distaste and more critical view of these types of games.

I just bought Kameo for the xbox360 and it has the same problem as Sudeki in that it looks terrible and the core concept is unique but lame. Still its starting to grow on me.

Final Fantasy XII is only worth playing if you plan to buy the sequel on DS. Otherwise it doesn't have a proper ending and just sort of stops. Nevermind all that, it also kinda' sucks
