Many years ago, i was on this forum under the username Woof_Canibilius, and it was at that time that i was in desperate search for BGE sheet music. Someone had started a topic with the similar frame of mind as me, and asked where one would get such a thing. Unfortunately, to my recollection, there was no definite source of the sheets. I gave up on being able to play some BGE music on piano.
Until today, that is. I once again picked up my copy of BGE and played it through, getting entranced once again. My musical ability has increased dramatically since all those years ago, so i was able to transcribe "Home Sweet Home" and "Dancing With DomZ"; and if i may be so bold, i've done quite a good job. Now i'm just in the process of writing it out, but i have the first page up just for you guys, and the others should follow in time. Feast your eyes. hope you like i am also, of course, open to transcription requests. oh, one more thing - i would like to share this with as many people as possible so does anyone have an idea of a sheet music site where people could easily get a hold of the sheets? cheers. instrumentally yours, Marty. ----------- |

Wow, it sure looks impressive. I unfortunately can't play piano. I do play guitar and tried to play some BG&E songs recently, but since I started less than half a year ago, I'm not that good (yet!).
Keep up the good work though, I'm sure that many other BG&E lovers play piano. You know what would be great, if you could play it and record it! |

Well, it is done, though it seems to be incomplete ( haven't transcribed the bass) and I'm sure someone could do it much better, but I think it's good for a start.
Now I used the program Power-Tab Editor to transcribe it which makes the whole thing damn easy! Now I need to ask you, Babukar256, for permission whether I can publish it here or not. |

Please give permission! Since I barely read notes I'd really love to play this on my guitar along with Da1dalos!
And Da1dalos: I posted the simple tune for the BG&E themesong on the BGE Revolution forums. A kind member who is far better at tabbing (and probably guitar playing as well) has corrected it so you can play it easier. It's far from perfect and it's really short. But it's something, and it's the first thing I've done. So I'll post it here if I can find it. --------------------------------------- ------0-3-0---------------------------- ----2-------2-------------------------- --4-----------4-0-2-2-4-2-------------- --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- ----------0-2-0------------------------ ------0-3--------3-0------------------- ----2---------------------------------- --4------------------------------------ --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- |

You can play the main theme entirely on the pentatonics (black notes), by the way. It's very orientally routed.
Awesome to find this though, I always wanted the sheet to that piece... I could never manage to work it out whenever I tried. Although, I'm pretty sure it starts on a B; that makes it much simpler to play, anyway. |

hey, thanks for all the feedback!
i'd be glad to help you out with your transcribing of the theme, but would you be able to be a bit more specific? im not exactly sure which BGE song is the theme, they're all a bit themic to me! ----------- |

Wow, thanks so much for this. I've been waiting for BG&E sheet music for a long time. You should try to spread it around other VG piano communities.

any one know where to get sheet music for the bass guitar or the trumpet?

This is great, you even have the font and everything! If I could make a request: the piece that is played when they discover the children missing and Jade blames herself. I could find you the mp3 if you'd like.

A very worthy request! that's one of the other few piano-based BGE songs, and i think the most emotional one. i've already started work on it, but it may take a while to get it written down in sheet music form due to a million other things i've got to finish in my spare time. I apologise in advance, hope you're a patient person.... ----------- |

I'm still working my way through Beyond Good and Evil, but I need to say that the soundtrack is AWESOME!
I can't wait to see if my piano skills haven't rusted through. Are there any more songs that are transposed? (Particularly, Enfants Disparus?) And are the guitar versions available in classical notation? This message has been edited. This is very cool! Well done!

I could never play the flute when I was on secondary much less I could with a guitar or a piano.
Playing instruments never was one of my virtues |

I always seem to occasionally find myself browsing the BGE forums even when I'm not particularly looking for them, but today I searched for BGE sheet music on Google and came across this post. Thanks for the music, but page three is extremely tiny! I can't even make out the notes if I squint! Could you fix this? Thanks.

Ditto! Does anyone have the full size image of page 3? I would really like to see it.
I am playing it on guitar, and because of the large range, I shift up an octave for the part that starts with the Bb (located half-way down the bass clef) on bar 17, taking me all the way up to Eb on the 23rd fret of the high E string! Geesh! It won't sound natural, but the notes are correct. However, if you have a 7 string guitar tuned down half a step, you can just start that section with the open 7th string.
