The demo shows the core turn-based gameplay mechanics, but it only scratches the surface of what the game has to offer. The campaign has a lot of varied maps with different objectives, so you won't always be trying to capture the enemy flag. You'll also be leveling up your squad, unlocking "potentials" for the different characters, upgrading weapons, buying parts for your tank, ... This is all done through menu's that you can access when you're not in a campaign.

I can't really discuss this without spoiling aspects of the game (the opening intro and just about every trailer on the web already spoil that aspect of the game though), but there's a reason for the title.

There's definitely a story and a lot of background info on the characters and the world (with optional campaigns that focus on certain main characters). However, the gameplay itself only consists of the campaigns, you just watch the story unfold in between them.

Replayed it again today. Something about it appeals to me (I'm not into strategy games except for FF Tactics) but this is somewhat different.

There was a lot of positive feedback on the demo but personally I think it doesn't really do the game justice.

It's probably being different from other games that makes this game stand out, the gameplay is really a breath of fresh air for the tactical RPG genre.

I'm playing Fallout 3 (litterbox 360)

I playing 2 games one xbox Rogue ops
& one for ps2 Resident evil 4

Im playing Tomb Raider Underworld and Spyro Dawn of the Dragon.

I expected to love Underworld because I loved Tomb Raider Legend but I was extremely dissapointed and I expected Spyro to be mediocre because I hated the previous Spyro games but was a bit impressed.

After this Ive decided I wont buy BG&E2 unless it actually looks good in screenshots and previews. No point in buying a sequel if it doesnt have anything that attracted you to the 1st game.
