I tried the new Rayman, and I was appalled by it. I mean, it's a collection of mini-games. I could not believe that it came from the same people that made BG&E.

I bought a Wii myself, mainly for the Zelda game. But if all the Wii inspires developers to make is games like the new Rayman, then it will certainly be a very disappointing purchase for me, since I could have just gone with a used GameCube for Zelda. All I can say is, I'm glad I had the opportunity to try the new Rayman before I actually considered buying it myself.

I really don't mind the mini game type. I prefer it on the Wii actually. With it's great control scheme, these games are very fun. I bought my Wii for basically the same reason it was designed - multiplay. I knew the majority of the games I would play on the system would be enjoyed with 2 or more friends, and I'm perfectly fine with that. The Wii is best enjoyed with others, and if that means lots more development focus on multiplayer games, then so be it. Minigame type videogames are perfect on the Wii because of how far they can push their barriers. They could make nothing but minigame multiplayer games for the Wii from now on out and I would never declare it disappointing. At this point, I've experienced everything I expected and wanted out of the system, and I couldn't be happier.

Well I thought Nintendo was trying to attract everyone with the Wii. Zelda is certainly my type of game, but not the new Rayman though. Now that I am finished with Zelda, there's not much for my Wii to do until the Metroid comes out. And hopefully the Mario game will be good also.

But until then, I am going to be trying out some GameCube titles that I have missed. And some that I have not missed...

I have already made a purchase. Can you guess the first GameCube game I ordered? Here are a few hints:
* It is a rare item - brand new, factory sealed
* It costed me $70
* The main character's lips are green Wink

Yes, it is BG&E. The one I have already is the PC version, but I can no longer play it due to incompatibility with the 64-bit version of Windows Vista. But since I have a Wii, I figured that would be a good system to play BG&E on.

where did you purchase your gamecube BG&E? somone stole my copy and I'm looking for a new one.

but back on topic, I read something, somewhere about ubisoft ending an exclusive contract with sony recently, and also I have seen that Micheal Ancel did not do anything for Rayman: Raving Rabbids. could it be that Micheal Ancel is working on BG&E 2, to be a release across all the consols again, or maybe working on a new project?

I purchased it through Amazon.com. People sell new and used copies there.

Also, Ancel's team certainly did make Rayman:

Meaning Ancel specifically, he indeed was involved publically back in May. Take a look and the credits in the game, though- Ancel gets the same mention recieved in Rayman 3, which he wasn't involved with. Methinks he left the project after the decision to change it to a party game.
Who knows what he's been doing? I sure know what I'd like that to be, but I've learnt over time not to get my hopes up.

If anyone has any other evidence to support that Ancel might be doing something else, please post.

Speaking of any evidence that might suggest Ancel is working on something else, take a look at this link:

BG&E 2 Possibility?

Scroll down until you find a post by a forum member named Huyh14 (I think that's his name). Read through it carefully - he mentions Ancel might be working on BG&E 2! I know it's probably just a rumour, probably not true, but even so, I'd like to know where he got that from...

He's just speculating there. But I think Ancel was almost definitely absent after the point at which they turned Rabbids into minigames, and he hasn't been seen in public for about 6 months now. Nobody knows what he's up to.

I just hope it doesn't go in the same direction as the subsequent rayman game. I agree with Daroth though, even if Michel want to do a sequel Ubisoft ultimately make the decisions
