Psychonauts is going on Steam, and I really hope it does well there. If Psychonauts gains enough sales and popularity through Steam, then I guess hope can be said for BGE as well.

A good way to try and find out what project they'll be working on next is to check the job offerings at Ubisoft Montpellier, and they're asking for developers for an "online game engine". and a Game Designer for a new (original) project. That doesn't sound like a sequel to BG&E...

Given the quality of BG&E I have difficulty believing that. Whether or not they are improving is up for debate, King Kong and Rayman: Raving Rabbids are very different games. As long as they don't decide on creating BG&E: Raving Rabbids....

I think that also says something about how Ubisoft has changed in recent years. quote: Originally posted by Xeiqu: I believe that will definitely manage to make a story even better than BG&E in the near future. Have a little faith...
I'm sure they could but I'm not asking for a new and better game, I just want a conclusion to BG&E.

To be honest, another creative, original game from Mr. Ancel would probably be just as good as the sequel to BG&E. It could possibly get the chance to have some recognition

I don't think that Peter Jackson will have any influence on whether BG&E2 is going to be made or not. He loved BG&E and therefore he approached Michel Ancel for King Kong. That's where it ends, I think.

Well, Rabbids is out in the US, and it's getting some pretty positive reviews. Take a look at this: http://www.destructoid.com/elephant/index.phtml?s=rabbi...d.x=0&imageField.y=0Watch 'Rayman Raving Rabbids: Part One'. Interesting how the game starts with 'Ubisoft Montpellier Studio Presents'. I thought it was kinda like the team were making a sort of image for themselves. I don't think I've ever seen a specific dev team credited at the beginning of a game before. Pimped my toff!

Yeah, it's now kind of like how Sonic Team has a distinguished name within Sega, except within UbiSoft, it's just UbiSoft Montpellier Studio.

Yeah, that's awesome. That developer's team deserves the recognition, especially because they're greatest masterpiece was a commercial failure. That's not cool.

That's really weird, now you mention it... and it's not even that, he only gets recognised for coming up with the franchise. It looks like he's had no involvement with the game at all, otherwise. He's also had nothing to do with any interviews for several months. We only ever saw him talking about RRR very early on in the development cycle, when it was still planned to be a free-roaming platformer with a huge story and whatnot. Perhaps he got kinda miffed with the downscaling of things. I dunno, but it's certainally weird. :\ Pimped my toff!

What are all of your thoughts on the gameplay style of RRR? I've never played a traditional Rayman game in my life (I hang my head in shame) and I think RRR looks fantastic. I put it on my Christmas list, looking forward to a solid multiplayer game for the Wii. ***************************** Through Jesus Christ, he has made me FIREPROOF "Did you say .. Peepers?" Meh, most hadcore fans were dissapointed, as you can probably guess... I and quite a few others are pretty upset that, after about a decade, the franchise finally got back into its creator's hands; and believe it when I say, it's far from beyond these guys to make the best game the platforming genre has ever seen; and yet they ended up just making a glossy bunch of minigames (even though the game is very good; it's really not Rayman for me). You should definitely seek out Rayman 2, it's one of Ancel's two true labours of love, and the thing still feels epic by today's standards. Groundbreaking for the time, and with today's technology, they could've made something on a scale a hundred times the size... Pimped my toff!

I got Rayman for Christmas, and I'm quite happy with it. The humor is very, very good, it gets me laughing even when I'm by myself. I think it's a really solid title, but unlike all of you, I haven't played the original Rayman games, so I can't really be let down. I do really like the style and presentation of the game, and I wonder if the other Rayman games carry about themselves with the same style and presentation. ***************************** Through Jesus Christ, he has made me FIREPROOF "Did you say ..
