Hey guys, I have recently been looking around for a new game to play, and I was considering Beyond Good And Evil.

I downloaded the demo, and thoroughly enjoyed what it had to like offer.
So my question is do you guys think that the demo gives a good idea of what the game is like as a whole?
And 2 other questions of mine is, do you get chance to photograph the animals throughout the whole game or is just a section?
And lastly do you guys have any other suggestions for any other games for me to try out similar to that off Beyond Good And Evil (and similar to Prince of Persia), for Pc that is about at the moment?

Many thanks

Well, the first part of the game (so also the demo) really sets the mood for the entire game. If you like the demo, you'll love the game. I think you'll get all the answers in the review I wrote, there are other reviews in that topic as well: review

You'll be photographing animals the entire game in a variety of challenges, one animal will be more difficult to find than the other.

Try Psychonauts, another overlooked gem. You might also try the adventuregames Indigo Prophecy(a.k.a. Fahrenheit) and Dreamfall.

Cow Bartenders and Sharks that hide their key codes! Oh! and playing a puck shooting game with a big creepy guy but completely loveable character ! And... and talking to a cat woman, and monsters that suck the life out of you by attatching to your neck.... AH! Pockets of methane gas propelling boots to launch into the air! giant snail critters that try to hide from your camera... ..KBUPS!

Trust me, you'll love this game.

Thanks for the comments, I'll get the game once I've stuck my cheque in the bank Big Grin

And some of those animals you photograph are really weird, whats the deal with that two rlegged otter thingy up on the roof? I thought it was a penguin at first lol

But yes, yes you do have a new gamer, I have migrated here from the Prince of Persia forums lol. But I'll look up those other games you mentioned.

From what I remember Dreamfall is a point-and-click rpg isn't it? I downloaded a demo of the Longest Journey, so I'd assume they were both similar??

No, Dreamfall changed to the action-adventure genre. It's still a good game, a lot better than Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, but most of the fans of the original TLJ were (slightly) disappointed.

Really? I wasn't too fond of the point-and-click so I was unsure on getting Dreamfall, but I'll stick it on my 'to buy list'.
And I've been looking around and psychonaut looks intresting so I'm gonna download the demo.
Thanks you guys you've been a great help Big Grin

No problem, it is what we're here for, after all. Glad to see a new member among the ranks.
