Come on, mes amis! BG&E sold best on the Gamecube, and would be a far better fit for the Wii market.
Does it make good business sense to ignore the past, and over 50% of the total available market. This is basic economics, as well as customer service! |

dude, it hasn't even been formally announced that there even will be a release of the game... don't sweat the wii issue. that's the least of our worries right now... not that i really care anyway since i got a ps3.

A story driven game series (series! can you believe I just said that?) deserves quality graphics to improve the level of immersion.

I fully support a port, or even a complete remake for the Wii. Hell, just having a small, sub-game download available on Wii-ware would make me squeal like a schoolgirl

I thought I read something about the creator thinking it would be great on the wii?
Either way. I have a 360 and a wii, so I'll take either one. I'd probably go with my 360 though for the achievements, and possible multiplayer? ____________________________ D.B.U.T.T. Don't Break Up The Team |

In after the storm, Ubisoft sure made sure to screw us again, and again and again.

I'd love one, but I'll be honest and say I'm more likely to buy it on the PC. That being said by the time this game comes out I might try to indoctrinate my sister into playing it on the Wii as she might go for this kind of game.

I agree with mikearobinson!

HELL NO. I hope they don'trelease it on the Wii, that just gives it more chance for Ubisoft to steal it from Michel Ancel and turn it into a load of pointless crappy mini-games. Down with ubisoft. Michel Ancel should just leave them altogether, they are just taking the ****.

BG&E and minigames won't happen, Really...
I don't care for a wii version. My opinion: You have to play multiplatform games with the best graphics. So a PC version would be great for me. |

a game of such artistic quality should appear on every platform!!!...i believe many wii owners who play mario or zelda will make bge2 a definite no-nonsense purchase...

They already did without needing our help: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/908103432/m/1931073366/p/1 Wii games don't have to be dumbed down too, that's a outlandish (and over-generalizated) call. I'll agree Ubisoft could do just that, but that's out of their own lack of judgement and lack of understanding of the userbase. But we ain't getting it anyway though, thanks for nothing ubi, as always. |

Since when does "Casual" mean mini-games? Michel won't let it be just some mini-games, if it's only confirmed to be released on PS3 and 360. If it's released on Wii, that would hold back the other versions from looking any good, unless they ported the game over, and changing the graphics to something more like Zelda. Lol. |

lol, like if that (zelda graphics) was bad at all. Minigames... games have had minigames for years, including beyond good and evil, I remember unlocking a marble mini game and some other change of paces that included minigames, and others; RE4 had minigames, OoT had minigames, GTA has mini games, shenmue had mini games... Final Fantasies have had minigames for years too... (aren't they hardcore though?) No one wants it to be "just some minigames" but quite honestly, those existing would not be a wii consequence as much as you'd like them to, only if Ubisoft was stupid; and who knows, what they're putting in this one while they're saying it is more cattered towards the casuals. I can picture a "sniff flies" minigame on this one already. |

Despite what most people think BG&E 2 would probably have a lot of difficulty becoming profitable n the Wii. Low budget and casual games like Raving Rabbids and the likes of Wii Fit sell in the millions, but BG&E 2 is going to cost a lot more than that and will end up in competition with other, already established, action-adventure franchises. Look at what happened to NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams: everyone insisted that the Wii was the perfect platform for it but it ended up being a commercial failure (in comparison the NiGHTS fans had to wait 10 years to get their sequel, only to see their franchise fail again).

It would be cheaper to do as a Wii game from the ground anyway, thus, being less risky for Ubisoft; but they prefer to cash in on us with DogZ and BabiZ in order to finance such risky projects elsewhere. Not that it would do any better elsewhere, that's thesad truth. And the game was also very poorly marketed and by the 12 year hiatus probably had a lot less fans than BG&E, because Saturn was a failure, it was a pretty old game by now, that no one had played... and of course... BG&E has a continuing history, NiGHTS doesn't which also reduces the userbase's "can't wait" (to see more) status. (of course the "2" in the name can also be a barrier for sales outside the fanbase) but you get my point perfectly I think |

I agree that the NiGHTS sequel had its problems, but I think BG&E 2 is going to be facing a lot of those same problems. They'll have more competition on the Wii than on any other console, for the most part from the already established Nintendo franchises. Trying to release the game on both Xbox360/PS3 and the Wii would also be difficult considering the graphical limitations of the Wii. Maybe if they had a separate team developing the game for the Wii it could work, but if they have to make a choice I think they should concentrate on the Xbox360/PS3 simply because they don't have much direct competition from similar games there. If the game is anywhere near as good as the original and Ubisoft doesn't hold back on marketing the game then I think the franchise has a chance at succeeding this time around . |

The answer to that is you scale up. You build the game on Wii and you scale up the models, textures, and resolution for the PS360. it's no less daunting or more expensive than making two sets of everything for the Gameplay and the Cutscenes ala PoP.
Everything sells on the 360. But to make money on a Nintendo Console you have to be as good as Nintendo. Heavy proposition. In order to do that you have to build the game for Nintendo, on Nintendo. On Wii For Wii With Wii. 27,000,000 consoles sold, 200,000 copies of PetZ. That's not tapping a market, that's missing an opportunity to satisfy the market. |
