Twice, sort of. I played up to the very last level and experienced a nasty glitch, and had to restart. So, count that or don't, I don't know. :P Just this morning I finally finished the game, with all Pearls, Species, and M Disks, and it was absolutely stunning. Beyond Good & Evil has proven to be THE defining game of this past console generation for me. It's managed to quite easily edge out my other favorites of the generation, and I've honestly found it to be just about perfect in nearly every regard. Its storytelling was sublime, it was extremely playable and accessible, it was brilliantly-paced, and ultimately absorbed me and moved me like no other game this generation has. I would not hesitate for a moment to call it the Panzer Dragoon Saga of the past generation. A perfect marriage of storytelling and gameplay, and ultimately pure bliss.

I bought the GC version a couple of months after it was released. I have lost track of how many times I have played through it, though it is at least in the teens (with about half the time getting 100% completion). The most recent time was a few months ago after I got my Wii - I wanted to see how well the Wii's backwards compatibility handled it, and I am pleased to say that the GC version of the game plays just fine on the Wii.
Intelligent responses welcome, flames will be met with marshmallows.

Ive played it around 4 times but only beat it for the second time recently. Its still fresh and exciting to play and the visuals hold up pretty well even in this generation of gaming. Still I d rather play a sequel.
I agree with alucard BG&E is my favourite game mainly because of its visuals and gameplay(not so much storytelling). Its like the Zelda:Ocarina of Time for my xbox.
