Yea i believe i can accomplish making most of main areas although it may take some time with my current knowledge of the editor!

I'm mainly just making this for eye candy but i'm sure it can be used for plenty of other things!

If i had to choose what to make next i would make it would probably be the lighthouse although i'm not to experienced in displacements which is what i believe i would use to make the island!

Seems difficult to manage with the size of the island

I am in need of Textures & Models otherwise i'll have to use what is already available to me and or salvage!

The Source SDK Hammer Editor its what i'm using the make the map!

I've dumped all the textures, sounds, etc for this game. Theres a tool floating around on the net somewhere that extracts all the game files, including some test and unused files. Currently on Spring Break though so I don't have access to the name of it or my extracted files though.

Let me know if you can't find it, though I'm not the most active on here.

I extracted the .bf file a while back but i think everything is in .bin there are some .wol and other extensions the only thing i could salvage was some .bik files. I also attempted to extract the .bin files but with some tool called jade pack which i couldn't get to extract with command prompt if that's how you use it.. i didn't quite understand how to extract using it as in its example it wants me to output as .dec??? I wouldn't mind getting ahold of some textures tho.. but then again they are probably low resolution so i would have to remake and would probably be better off taking reference photos and remaking the textures with that although i have no experience with making custom textures from scratch.. any help would be nice!

The .bin files Ubisoft makes with the Jade Engine contain sound effects, textures, text, and models. For some games like Beyond Good and Evil and Raving Rabids, the sound effects actually aren't in the .bin as you may have noticed. The .bin files contain all the data that the game loads. The .wol files tell the game which data from the .bin files to load.

I'll see what I can do about getting the textures together and maybe models, though it may not happen for a bit due to exams this and next week as well as having to do some more research.

I ended up getting one or two models done. Its seems like it really is now just a matter of taking the time to do it. And... as you may have see, there are a LOT of .bin files I have to get them from and I have to do it individually with the method I use so it will take awhile.

Oh wow i didn't even know it was possible to get into the .bin files but if it really takes alot of time i'd rather myself spend eternity trying to do with the files without knowning if i can even use them!

But non the less i'm fully willing to learn how to use those files to its fullest extent & getting them into them into the source engine if needed!

I've put it on the backburner for now because its too cumbersome to do it manually. I however am still playing with the code in these applications. As I learn more about the encryption and decryption of files I may make a tool that'll do it on its own.

I however say, don't hold your breath =P

God I hope it doesnt look like the materials weve seen so far. Even Jades costume is turning me off so its not just the environments. People who like stuff like what weve seen in the trailers a gameplay vids probably like games like mirrors edge.

I like what Im hearing about gameplay though. The 1st one was a bit shallow and small and I did wanted to do some actual reporting style work in the 2nd one.
