First, an announcement that affects everyone, new or not. There have been a few new mandates on signatures and avatars passed down from the community managers, which you can read here. Note that while I personally will not be cracking down on this very severely, please be aware that if you visit other non-Myst forums on the UbiSoft forums, the other mods are not likely to be as forgiving.

For those of you who wish to check your new signature or avatar's appearance, please use this forum to do so. Do not take this as an invitation to spam said forum, as such action will likely be dealt with rather harshly by the higher-ups in the community department at UbiSoft.

Also, please be aware that the moderators and community managers here are not likely to respond to private messages asking for game hints or technical support (and, in fact, community managers are not likely to respond to anything). That's why we have the forums . However, if you have an issue with the forum itself or with a member and you don't feel comfortable posting your question publicly, feel free to contact one of the forum moderators:

To the oldbies: I've done a little bit of spring cleaning on this forum, and will be carrying out similar activities on the other Myst forums (including Uru, Revelation, and EoA, so it's not just you guys) when I get back from work. I just wanted to post this notice and clean up a bit here first because I know there's a few of you here with egregiously long sigs, and I didn't want any of you possibly getting into trouble over it .

If you're looking for the threads that used to be pinned, I've un-pinned them due to lack of activity. The complaints thread seems to have served its purpose, and hasn't had a relevant post in quite some time... the computer lab thread hasn't been used since 2004. That said, here's a link to it, in case anyone still needs it:
