Oh,good idea! Introducing our characters. *marae follows suit*

Marae is the Marae from... um... oh, yeah, the Age 233 Bar. She is my least accommodating, most obnoxious version of myself. She's a bit snippy and snappy, not to mention whiny and bossy. Don't get her wrong: she has a good heart; she is just a lot less patient than my other "Marae" personae.

And of course, it's *her* bar that's on the line (well, actually, it's Sirrus' bar, but he's not around to defend it yet).

Let's not forget that 'marae' always seems to either get captured or be the center of whatever other trouble she can find. Urdu chased her on Pluto, she was captured while saving Tora in 'Cho's Age, and .... One thing, tho, she did save Zarnic from drowning when when the top of a box broke in some river but, hey, does that count?. Hey, Marae, what about Sir? Was he invited?

lol, well, let's see...

CK just is...I tend to try to keep CK true to me, though I do like to play with the whole p-shift thing whenever I join in on an MH (and it will always be fun to do). And just in case you guys want more specific information:

Name: "CK"
Age: 20-21
Gender: M
Eyes: Green
Hair: Red
Clothing of choice: Black shirt, black cargo pants, and black boots. Did I mention my favorite color is black?
Notes: Right-side pocket of all my pants (as a result of a specific incident with the main mod of the forum section) have a rather unusual quality. Don't be afraid if you see me pull a refigerator out of it.
As to the p-shift thing: if you haven't been on a previous MH with me, then you can either wait and see if I decide to use it, or ask someone else. I'm not ruining a surprise myself

At the moment, she is a little high on the caffeine due to large amounts of coffee in order to stay awake in the thesis writing process. She may make reference to this a few times. But her little snide remarks are all good-intended. But Speedy + caffeine = possibly things getting done a little too fast... like thinking.

and attempting to prevent this one from getting dragged out to a boring extent. To think I used to believe that the MH's were too short, heh.

They did used to be short.


Anyways, to state this:
I would prefer if we did not do TOO much cross-referencing with the Uru Surface forum. This is a Myst-related story, unique to the Hangout, NOT to the Surface. I think any future references to the A&C Hotel as well as people's Uru personas not be used. MN has brought in one of his personas, but that is his choice. But I would prefer to do as LITTLE cross referencing as possible since not everyone in this story is a Uru member.

Also, the Surface Speedy has no relevance to this story, in my humble opinion, so please leave that bit of the continuity cycle out of it (I know it 'helped' one of the MN's in but it has no basis to this story and I personally don't really care). So please leave my Surface Speedy out of it since I do not wish to bring her into this. Thank you.

Ok, let's keep this story moving. It would be nice if all people who put in an initial post CONTINUE to post as the story progresses... please note there is no set storyline, other than us needed to get to the council meeting to persuade the case of the bar.

Anyway, forgive me if my Spanish is cr@p... that's what it sounds like whenever I hear one of those messages.

I've never been on the sidelines for one of these so forgive me for sounding like a newbie ... where can my character post if he is in another Age and not in the story's world? The bar is being torn down so that's no good. The Waiting Room is a 'real life' thread and fictional characters would be out of place.

Personally, I find it a little unfair, but if you're stumped as in what to write, I understand, feel free to let us know and we might be able to give suggestions or something.

And Zarnic, um... you could just write something saying it's in a different location at the beginning of the post, or if it is just a message to someone in the group, write it like a letter or something... I'm not sure what you're going for, but feel free to tell me if nothing I say is what you're looking for

I'm actually surprised at how fast people seem to be replying this time, last one I joined in on, people seemed to suddenly get bogged down in the middle of it.

I guess RL is being a little kinder this time around...

Umm, okay. Why do we have a Mysthillarium link in the 1000 posts club, where all the confetti and three of the characters came from, if this adventure is supposed to have nothing to do with it?

Sorry, Speedy, but I just figured whichever blue bird mugged the mouse on its way from Age 233 to the 1000 posts club and pressed the link would be the some bird in here, where ever she came from. I figured it wasn't the A&C Speedy, and I didn't mean to imply otherwise. Sorry.

Am I supposed to say that my characters don't move between forums like they always have, err, what? I was going to post something, but now, I'm not even sure I should...

(sigh) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound that blown up about it.

I keep my characters unique to a particular forum (or at least I try to). If anything, the "speedy" acts more as if she's being dragged in from the real world than another place in the forum (hence me referencing the thesis a bit). I'm just used to the MH stories where people are sucked in from whatever RL activities they made up at the time, not from other places in the forum universe.

This is also what I personally believe, but not necessary of how it should be done (I know the mod status can make the two things confusing, but if it is something that should be done, I usually try to act with more of an authority writing style).

Your characters are from other forum locations. Fine, continue to write it as that way. My character in this story is not, and I would prefer if others thought of her the same way.

Also, what you're referencing to, MN, is what I realize is a continuity glitch. I wrote it that way initially to give it more of a direct understand of it being a poster to here, and yet I didn't send my character over. My bad.

Also, sorry if I am rushing this along (and double posting). I just want to keep it moving and not be another 20+ page story again.

lol, looks like I'm not helping that much, but I'd like to see what other people have in mind for this part.

Also, Zarnic, I think you're a little confused on where the forumites are: the post they all met at was in the middle of some field where there was no evidence of the bar or any sort of town in sight...

Right! Just realized my error ... first one this week, now I'm really, really lost. My character will just have to stay at the Spaceport until I can decide where to have him go.
