I'm sure they taught us such things in physics class MN, but they never associated it with anything in the real world so as to make it memorable, one of my biggest pet peeves about the education system. If I'm just memorizing something without applying it to something useful, I'll forget it. The same applies to lyrics and stories. My memory just doesn't work like most other people's do.

How about: BA = Pi/2 (r + 1/3t)

Where:
BA = bend allowance
Pi = Pi (pretty obvious)
r = radius
t = thickness

Used for calculating the length of material in the bend of a piece of metal through 90 degrees. It's simple math I know, but it's something I used all the time at work, so it was something I can still actually remember.
