In an effort not to open another beta topic , ill aks in this one. Did i imagine it or did i hear that 3/4 of the people signed up will get in? I think i read it somewere. I dont see why ubisoft wont give any info out about it

Not at all to be mean or anything, but the national guard isn't know for it's knowledge of combat experience.....which would probably mean your dad hasn't had a whole lot of experience with ACTUAL combat. Granted, he could've transfered over to the national guard due to advancement opportunities, but still, it is a little improbably that he actually knows what it is like to truly command an entire division/army. The good news is that due to his lack of actual experience, he will most likely idolized commander positions in combat, and end up loving the game. So I guess that is a big bonus for you..... Yep and if you watch the show firepower on the military channel yesterday it showed the national guard and they can do what normal soliders do. In world in conflict when your fightting in US alot of the troops you command are National Guard

Ya and my dads already served one deployment as a lt. col. for two years active duty in iraq , and now is on standby for his second tour to iraq for another two years as a col. so... i think he has had his share of combant expierence

Remember, that the national guard is in US, so, theyw ould not give you the brand tour of all the states national guard. You google it, and the national guard has begun a program to kick out any members who dont meet weight requirements, because they are all getting fat....ok not all but a big chunk. Same as what they do with any branch of the military, they show u the best of the best...which in the national guard, as a friend of mine recently enrolled in it says " the best of the best in the army are a big chunk, in the air force, most, the marines kick ***, the navy, best in the world bro...the national guard..........well yeah the national guard" Now are all of em bad, no, I got 3 friends on the national guard, 2 of em, are beyond what you call fat. so...yeah Join JSF, why.. who else got sexy sigs like the one below??? http://www.gamerdna.com/GuildJoin.php?re=1&short=3rdfrc  This Signature is not for anyone unless asked before hand and i'll be kind to agree:P, or maybe I wont>D |

Just a question Spartas-Julius .. have they ever been on active duty? alot of national guard that are in administrative parts of the guard dont have to be fit. Just like in the Army , navy, airforce, But as for the active duty soldiers ...very few are going to be over the wieght limit. Over 20% of those soldiers in iraq are national guard.. And the Guard arnt even suposed to go to other countries thats the armies job. National guard is for national disasters and security of our nation .. in our nation. But they go over there because they are called to by thier country to.

exacly my point, those called by the US, are fit like any other soldiers, and I've sene it, most even if not administrtive, that stay stateside are a lil overweight.
The question your formulated is a bit dumb, the army is not going to call overweight people to be shipped, right? so anyone on deployment has to be fit. The point of mine is, that the national guard is that...national for relief, the problem comes that they onyl have to meet very few times, their standards are sorta low, thats all, they are all trained of course. All this would be avoided if they met more often, thats pretty much the whole problem. Are you saying that they would search through all the national guard units and use only the ones who are fit? I would think that they select the best unit to complete the mission.. maby im wrong but that seems to sound beter than only the "Fit " units. What you said about meeting more often.. They are Citizen soldiers.. They have jobs. The way my dad puts it.. when they get over there they find them selves bieng used more because of thier jobs in the states... They know how to do stuff from thier citizen jobs that full time soldiers wouldnt know .. You have guys who know how to work well with computors or specialize in construction or communications.. They have expience from the states that not alot of the full time army soldiers get. And also about the meeting .. National guard troops train usally 1 time a month [drill] but they also have courses and other things they have to go to. As for my dad.. he is home maby 1 weekend a month. other than that he is all over the state. [ even somtimes during the week he has to take off of his architecture job to go across the country to .. washington or californa , Fort Cambell.. etc
