I suppose...
But also for any new factions, I don't want to see Australia declaring war on Canada over salt sources in the Pacific or something lame like that...ya know what Im sayin? Overall, Im pretty excited by this news. Mind you I'll still keep a skeptical eye, but Im gonna be looking forward for any news |

Endwars europe is Francentric, with a touch of german, and the americans don't like the french and the russians don't like the germans or the french. never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake-Victory belongs to the most persevering-Take time to deliberate, but when time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go in- One of the forefathers of the EF,Napoleon Bonaparte. |

I am still not getting ahead of myself until I hear or see an official Ubisoft announcment. Can anyone provide that instead of a third party online site?

It's ironic, considering that the French helped us gain independence in the first place. On the other hand, this is excellent news. __________________________ "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron." ~Dwight D. Eisenhower, speech, American Society of Newspaper Editors, 16 April 1953 |

I'm extremely surprised about this. However, I though the game was a success when it sold 1 million units. However, I would guess that about 10% of those units sold are still played today. Keeping their fans happy was the only thing they failed at. I messaged QuidProKuo to see if he can shed any light to an EndWar 2 title.

OMG!
Thank the gods for this fantastic news. I hope to see much more detail this time around. Not just simple Airstrike 1 2 3. I would like to see Cruise Missile Strikes, Naval Combat, FULL Battalion customazation, weapon selection ect. Make this a strategy game for the ages. No one should say " hey remember end war? " " Oh the buggy, simple, not very realistic RTS Game? " " Ummm i guess " Make end war 2 something amazing. Listen to the guys on the Forums they will tell whats hot and whats not. Don't worry that that third party website posted it, that news was directly coming from Mike DePlater, the lead developer and head of the team that created Endwar. ----In your application of military force, be just, fair, precise, but to conquer your enemies' will, heart and mind, seek to improve his lot- atacms----- |

Thanks guys, but Mike DePlater is the man. I think though that our voices have been heard from that interview as they are focusing on what we found to be the missing incredient for the game to reach its true potential. ----In your application of military force, be just, fair, precise, but to conquer your enemies' will, heart and mind, seek to improve his lot- atacms----- |

True. The story was really missing and I hope they fix the rock, paper, scissors system to be less drastic and more make battles depend on upgrades, real ballistics, maneuvering ect. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I completely agree that there are lots of things that I really hope get better with the game including depth and upgrades and other stuff. But I really think that the game did so well in the beginning was because of the simplicity. The developers didn't make things too complex and accidentally ruin by experimenting too much. As the Michael said in the article, they focused on the aspects of the game that were truly difficult and perfected them. Now with the sequel they can go back and make the game more exciting and work on the "easy stuff".
I think that most people stopped playing EndWar because it got repetitive not because it was actually a terrible game. I agree that starting a new IP is hard, but by focusing on the most important aspects of the game they made it fun to play. Now that they've found a good formula persistant war/armies they can go and add the icing on the cake. I think if they tried to make everything awesome in the first EndWar, it would not have turned out so great. GT: Fuego Remix |
