And that's exactly what China will be thinking when it finally gets to that point, and then they are going to threaten the US, and then the US drops a few nukes....says bye bye to china.

What happens then? Well we'd probably get hardcore invaded, but considering we've been fighting as an invasion force for the past 30 years against countries that take guerilla tactics to the extreme....I really don't think it'd be a good idea to put Americans in the opposite role. The one thing our military definitely knows how to do IS play the guerilla war. I'm not saying the US couldn't be beat, just they would literally have to have almost the entire world turn on them, and attack.

I would be amazed if there wasn't some type of "bug" or something in every advanced piece of weaponry the US sells to other countries that didn't have some type of countermeasure in it. Even if they didn't, we sell of stuff that's outdated and stripped down of what it's previous capabilities were. So no.... I don't think the US is going to be "losing" world power any time within the next century....unless someone nukes us now, because if they wait another 2-3yrs, we'll probably have a pretty badass anti-missile shield, and when that happens, the US government will be happy to show the world just how ruthless it can be.

I'm not being naive....did you miss the part where I mentioned an anti-missile "shield" surrounding the US?.....I'm going to assume that you are chinese or asian or something along those lines because you've been regurgitating the same idea about china becoming this all-powerful nation. Yes they are carry some weight due to their massive numbers, and yes they are starting to catch up with the current military tech, but they're not ahead yet. And the US still out-does their R&D budget many times over..... nothings a better motivator than money, and that is what's gonna give the US "the edge".

Numbers mean very little in modern warfare. It would take less than 10 guys to wipe out an entire city WITHOUT using a nuke.....I would love to see China try and go to war with the US. Because in THAT situation the US would just say "Come and get me".....and China would find out just how good we Americans are at keeping foreign invaders off our soil. I'm sorry dude but the US is very much a militaristic country, and THAT is what keeps it in power. Our economy isn't the best, but it's not bad either.

well actually it is the best in the world 10trillion aint to shabby and im not asian im as western as u cn get. if u read me properly ud realise im not talkin about china v us now of course thats rediculous im talking 3 or 4 decades down the line i mean the US economy is in border line recession now and by 2050 the world will be a very different place and im sure by then china will hav surpassed every nation. the amount of untapped resources in western china and tibet is well, a lot. im not pro china at all in fact china scares the hell outa me. its a capitalist state controlled by a communist government its crazy, wich means all that bisness n money and resources can be put into watever the govt sees fit but has a competetive market. the rich bisnessmen in china r still pro govt they have to be cus theyre still alive

The way the global political image is, noone would dare to risk a large scale conflict between such massive nations. You can compare military might all you want, but it's going to ruin both countries economical and create major instability internal and external. That's one hell of a mess to sort out.

And any invasion talk is usless, both countries are too massive and has a too high population density for a single army to occupy. Besides, the Russians would never allow US army to operate on such big scale in their power sphere.

ok lets review...

China and U.S are the worlds two biggest trading partners. they may not like each other but lets be real, they both love money.

China and united states would fight each other why? china would not demand we pay our debt, several trillion now i believe, because the chinese government and country recieves MORE than that from the internal revenue and exports they get because we buy all their cheap ****. they still make trillions.

If we did fight, how the hell is china getting over here? chinese navy ahahahahah thats like saying "french army" a complete myth. The us carrier groups would blast and invading navy outta the sea (look up WW2 and japan) However it is plausible that the chinese invade our interests (south korea) which would portray them as big bad invaders to the interantional community. this leads to sanctions that would destroy the chinese economy. if us embargoes big deal china sells to other nations. if the world embargos...

If china would war anyone, it would be russia. they both contain untapped resources (siberia and western china/tibet) and with growing military and econmies they would be looking for resources. In which case the us would step in and side with the chinese destroying the russian threat and most likely getting to invest in new chinese companies that would arise in siberia.

But just one thing. Russian and China are warming up relations between eachother. If China wants a war, it just has to sit and wait for a regional conflict *cough* *cough* !KOREA!*cough* to spark up and then they will pounce. As said before.
