anyone else wonder about what part china and the UK will play in this game?

because the uk and china both are military powerhouses (2nd and 3rd most powerful by some estimates) but they havent been mentioned at all apart from the fact that the uk stays neutral.

will they be in this game or will they appear in a followup game as new factions

if any1 has any opinions on this then plz post!

If you had read up about the game, you would know why China is not in the game. It's because this is only the North Atlantic theater. Britain is answered in the Dev Q&A. Theres also something called the search function. It's a tab with a magnifying glass. Use it so you don't ask a question that someone has already asked.

Also, next time you go to a new forum, read the pinned topic that says "New to the Forum". Most places have them.

alrite, i was just asking, and i checked the find function and it only said that britain stayed neutral and i cdnt find anything on china thats why i asked if anyone else knew anything.

Well UK is neutral from what we know.

And china on the other hand we don't know anything, mere speculation. I for one think they have somekind of pact with russia, and have somekind of truce or alliance (being commies and all and russia having ties to china in real life). they'll probably be handeld (or so I hope), so I hope we get to know what there point on the energy crisis is and explaining if they aid russia directly or wait on the sidelines to jump in.

On a side note, they have similair tech like russia right? same kind of tanks and stuff, can anyone confirm? if they do I'd see no reason why not to give them somekind of minor explaining on situans around the globe (sharing military tech and all). unless they got nuked like the middle east did.

face it, china could not go to war with the U.S. their tech sucks, their training sucks, and to top it off, their economy is dependant on the U.S., they break trade with us, they die. thats the way it goes. Same with every other country. If the U.S. embargoes trade with india, or almost any country in the world, their economies will be ruined.

Thats true for china. But not every country. China will probably be in the next game though (asuming the make another).

china has bought up a sh:t load of US debt; if the US tried to bully her she could just call it in and ruin you guys. if just the US refuses to trade with country A it doesn't mean that others will refuse to so its not the be all and end all.

Yea.... the day someone tried to "force" the US into doing something would be a very funny day. Don't you think it's a little suspicious how US citizens are very very willing to go to war with their own country, but at the same time they will let the government do just about anything it wants. I can tell you one thing....it's not because they're lazy, it's cuz they're scared.

dude if we repudiate our debt with china we would get pwned. first all the other counties that control some of the loans would know that if they asked for it, we would repudiate theirs too. we would get embargoed by every major nation. our economy would be destroyed in a matter of days. second do you know how many people there are in china? there is a quote that says it about right(i think it was napoleon, the wording might not be exactly right) "attack China? I do not have enough bullets"

the Chinese military is a total 9.5 million strong. This does not mean however, that they are effective. They hardly have enough tech to get over to the U.S. let alone fight us. If they do manage to get over here, they are very poorly trained and will likely get slaughtered in their first major engagment. as for ruining both of our economies, china depends on us for trade, in fact, we actually gain an economic foothold by cutting off trade with china because then the companies in the U.S. would have a chance to compete in the job/manufacturing market and start exporting more goods than importing them. there is a saying that holds true: "Every single trade product runs through the U.S. as all of the worlds' cash runs through England." cut off alliances with the U.K. and you lose massive amounts of money, cut off the U.S. and you lose product marketing.

Pffff the Chinese military their vehicles are a cheap version from the Humvee. Their Rifle is a copy from many different bullups. Their jets are a copy from the F16 and Migs and their tanks are a copy from the T90. Everything they have is a copy. Those dumb@$$es train their men in close combat more than anything look im Chinese and the only thing u see about the Chinese military is kung fu not that I hate Kung Fu but in a modern war I dont think martial arts are useful

do you know how many us based companies are controlled by controlled by foreign interests? not only that but look at the list of counties that own large amounts of us debt, if we repudiate one debt they know that we would do the something for theirs if we wanted to. some of the countries might stick with us even then, but a good chunk would begin putting pressure on us. most likely this would not only be though the un but also as economic measures. we can not live with out trade.

as for our military might: the us military all told is about 3mil(normal, paramilitary and reserves) that is about 27 of every 1000 people of military age. chinas army is around 7mil with a ratio of only 13/1000. so yes our military is better trained and armed (though how much do we know about chinese tech?) but they out number us by 4mil and they can replace troops much more easily than we can not only because they have more people to pick from but also b/c their government has much more control then ours does.

Also in this type of war we are the obviously the aggressor. the international option of the us would would be worse than it is now. other nations not only have the threat of us ignoring our contracts but also us attacking them if they ask for what is theirs. some countries might stick with us, i would say it is likely that Britain and japan would side with the us if we didnt mess up to badly, but look at the rest of the countries near the top of the debt list which ones do you think would side with the us?

They may have a large army but we have more and bigger bombs than them

I am the NEUTRAL GUY lol.

Companies controlled by foreign interests, are really more of, being influenced by foreign interests, and the influence is HUGE. The point is that China and the rest of the world specially, US have a symbiotic relationship, to a point. China without the US would be very hard for her,the only choice, and this is discussed in most military textbooks as foregin policies, is that if China decides, her self to stop the manufacturing of foreign products, is a risk but also an ace in the whole, this could also be provoced by foreign influence.

The fact that China could turn to a war machine quite literally, would usher a new era, probably short live, of incredible power, BUT the only choice then is for China to use that power to conquer territories to sustain itself.

Some individuals scrutinize Europe and US for being dependant on foreign products, but in those 2 continents the level of unenployement is higher than in Asia, meaning that the blow os far more severe at short term for EU and US, than for China, but china would begin to bleed itself out.

Think of it as Frontlines, China had to go out anc conquer, but as the war waged on, not many battles were won against China, all the Coalition had to do was stall it, and sooner rather than later China woudl crumble under its own weight.


The point I am trying to get across is this. US and EU are dependant on China maybe to 80%, but china is Dependant on foreign proucts 99%.

If the scenario stated above, or in previous posts comes to pass, EU and US can bare the strain, theyw ould go intoa depression capable only of being lift by war, but they can go through it, their unenployment would make up for part of the products not being delivered.

this of course would mean starvation, power shortages, and riots, but in a matter of years that can be solved, either because starvation takes a toll on people, a portion of the population moves away or dies, but the majority stays and lives on with more manageable resources.

And lastly, even though critizism is on EU and US for being resource dependant on outside sources, nobody talks about the fact that china's only resource is Coal. Coal is a power supply, and it can be used for farming, but not to the extent required. Is as if having one battery, either use it for food preservation, or use it, to power a tank, you cant choose both.

So the ending quote is "the world relies on China, but China cannot survive without the world". In other words, although it woudl be extremely difficult and costly to live without China's "cheap" manufaturing products, it can be done, woudl it be sort of hard YES it would be troublesome. Woudl China be able to survive... no unless it conquers, and if it goes to war, it has to be quick, something that leaves and extremely fragile infrastructure and economy. can China do it, .....sort of, impossible? I woudl say 95%.
