I dont deny, airforce, woot, we got the best... if onyl they gave a bit more enlistment bonus. But I understand, their budget's priority is to maintain and repair, the BEST AIRFORCE WOOOT. That is why I am doing what my pal did.. although he is old already lol, and retired, but ima follow his advice, he loved the air force, so he joined the army first for 5 yrs s mechanic for Helos, then transfered became pilot after his contract was done, and now is retired from the airforce :P.

I have a lot of respect for the Coast Gaurd. They've definately saved their share of individuals. But then if you think of the grand scheme of things, the armed forces definately saved more.

The Coast Guard is part of the armed forces for the US, Iceland, and many other countries. Its not that the CG doesnt have any respect, its just that it is highly misunderstood. Most people diont realize that the CG is always a part of the US armed forces, and they do far more than just rescuing people. They protect US ports from terrorists, they fight against smuglers, pirates, and yes, during war they would fight, although in a limited way. There are a few CG units deployed in Iraq, alothough not very many. Anyhow, I hope I didnt get carried away being a CG fanboy

nah dude, si the same as national guard... they are not suppose to be out on international waters, or lands fighting, that is why their own names explain it, they are suppose to bt the homeland of defense.

According to my 2008 world almanac, there are 1250 Coast Guardsmen serving in Iraq. True the CG is mainly homeland defense but it can serve a combat role during a war in other countries' territory

I couldnt decide, air force or marines. I would of chose the marines but i thought about the F-22 in the airforce. but i think the marines are getting F-22's right?

Well it was a choice between BRITISH Marines or Air Force (that might include SAS)

I'm going with the Royal Marines (British and just as hardcore as the USMC).

However, my family has a tradition in the Navy in WW2 (Not sure about WW1). Grandad commanded a motor torpedo boat and many of my great uncles were on Merchant ships- bringing supplies to Britain and Russia.

Marines are getting the F35 JSF Lightning II (like the f22 steath design)
its a vertical take off/landing jet like in the book.

I go with air force because they drop the bombs to help our troops move foward

The F-22 is not capable of launching off the deck of a carrier so no the Corps and navy will not be recieving the F-22.
