Dude, ive never herd of this game before but it looks like a lapluster end war. has the same world domination thing and has a persitant online campaign simular to end wars with daily results only you can change sides whenever you want on theirs!?

also it comes out exactly te same period / month in september so it will be weird. i know what ill be getting but looking at some of the vids, of which there are many, it does look quite good but i dont have cash to splash with a holiday with some friends coming up.

if any of you lot have seen war of the worlds you may know the scene where the US fights back and their tanks etc go rolling over a hill into battle. there is a simular scene in one of the vids and is really good.

also i thought i'd bring the point up that apprently they have voice comands aswell. who is tryin to rip of who here?

World in Conflict came out already. This is the expansion for the PC and for the Xbox, it's like the PC version except it adds the Soviet single player campaign, which the PC version didn't have.

Also from what I read, the voice command is a gimmick, you can ONLY use it to call in your special strikes, like napalm strikes or carpet bombing. You CAN't control your units via voice command.

Also timeframe for WIC is 1989, not 2020. Great looking game, but it's arcadey!

Agreed. I like the concept for World in Conflict, but the game still operates under the "arcady" style of RTS in my opinoin. I've only played the demo and the game isn't bad by any means, I'm just not too fond of this type of RTS. As I have stated countless times in the past, the Total War series has my heart forever Big Grin.

I don't think it's worth buying as it will probably be just a waste of a couple hours as the campaign looks like it is the only new idea and from what ive seen, expansion packs make the game seem worse in my mind (It wasnt good enough the first time?). If it is less Arcade-Like, ill get

I tried the demo and while it quite fun at first - I found it was too shallow; it lacked depth for me. I didn't hear about much else in the actual game that wasn't already in the demo in terms of core gameplay and that caused me to think: "I ain't getting this." Is my belief that the full game has essentially the same amount of depth incorrect?

RazzSingleplayer was dumb. I barely played it/ I've spend all my time in WIC playing in multiplayer! Cool game. BTW here's Soviet Assault's trailer HD http://ru.youtube.com/watch?v=OiCGKrp96Mw

For one, it's not RTS, it's RTT. So you guys are looking at the game in the completely wrong way to begin with. There's plenty of depth and strategy to be had, but you either need to get a good core of fellow players or use Few Player mode. Because Artillery Noobs are a curse.

Stories with Russian invasion of Europe and America to conquer the world are the dumbest

Measuring by the in game vidoes of end war and the actual game of WIC on PC - I would have to say end war is much closer to the arcade play. That is just my opinion.
