We had the discussion about what kind of rifle they will use, which is actually a good question, complements to you sgtmcnac, but a regiment is nothing without air support, which raised the question, what kinds of planes will the JSF use, (feel free to post anything about the other factions planes) by the way, don't worry about the type of support it provides, this is mainly just for discussion, only reason i made it a poll was so that i could see what people think the MAIN aircraft used would be, I'll document the aircraft types for you if you don't know what they mean.

Air Superiority: Fighter plane, counter attack to other Air Superiority craft or any other form of aircraft mentioned

Multipurpose: Able to either bomb or provide air superiority.

Strike Bomber: The method of bombing used to avoid anti-aircraft fire and to be able to strike fast and hard and get away safely, and not provide air support (it has been argued that this should be referred to as Multipurpose, but aircraft like the FB22 were meant to bomb and bbe abe to put up a fight, but not be purposely engaged with enemy aircraft)

Bomber: The old fashioned way, loading the aircraft with bombs until it can have no more bombs and then wasting a lot of money dropping them all (you can tell I'm not too enthusiastic about this method, due to the fact that they often require escorts by air superiority fighters and the fact that the only amount of accuracy they have is the fact that they'll hit the ground)

Gunship Support: A transport plane outfitted with weapons and then used similarly to a strike bomber but often used to take out enemy transport facilities, rather than focusing on tanks like the A10 or enemy facilities like the FB22.

P.S. sorry about writing so much, I'm just a huge Air Force fan.

Question:
What kind of planes will the JSF use

Choices:
F22 Raptor(air superiority)
F35 Lightning 2(multipurpose)
FB22 Strike Raptor(Strike Bomber)
B2 Spirit(Bomber)
C/A130(gunship support)
F37 Talon(air superiority)
Other (upgrade of modern jet or just a new idea you had)

i didnt vote because i think they should use the F22, F35, the Spooky gunships(C/A130) and all bombers(F-117,B-2,B-52 all of which has service lifes past 2020)

The FB22 is still a concept so i didnt include it and idk waht the F37 is i couldnt find anything on the internet(all i could find was ships named that lol)

it takes a combination there is no one magic aircraft

an a word on the F-22 even though it is a air superiority fighter it can still do ground attack just like the F-15

you dont control any planes and since the USAF has its future airforce planned out pretty well its safe to assume well see different aircraft filling different roles.

btw, its called the AC-130, not c/a-130.
and there is no such thing as the F-37 Talon the designation f-37 is not used and the name talon is used for the T-38.

My apologies, it is the FA37 and yes it is called the AC130, but who really gives a ****, as long as they know what I'm talking about there's no problem, by the way dude, this is a FORUM, not a prestigious university where anything but perfect is not excepted, so lighten up a bit please?

Actually the aircraft is being designed and the company that made the movie asked for a futuristic jet that they're designing they couldn't give them the F35 since it was an international project, so they gave them the all American FA37 Talon.

but even if i was lying, it would still be awesome if it was in there Thumbs Up

But besides that fact, the movie Stealth was mainly based on the invention of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, or UAVs, like the predator, that can look at footprints from 5000 feet cause it's camera is so awesome, but i highly doubt we ever have one that can feel and sacrifice itself for others, though it might have been programmed with a, "two humans=me sacrificing for them" program, but it's just a combat model.
